PET is good - glass is better.
I would appreciate it if a mineral water from the Migros range (e.g. Eptinger) were offered in glass bottles.
Because of the plastic particles that pass from the PET bottle into the water, I am convinced that many health-conscious consumers would switch to glass bottles.
Why don't you give it a try? I would be very pleased.

Hello Turnhalle, thank you for your contribution. In sustainability studies, reusable glass has a similarly high environmental impact as recycled PET bottles. This is because a comprehensive eco-efficiency analysis is included due to cleaning, return transportation, etc. Disposable glass bottles have a higher environmental impact than PET bottles. In addition, glass is much heavier and therefore less easy to transport. You can dispose of PET bottles in most Migros stores. Kind regards, Luisa

NOBODY returns it or there is no collection point. Ambivalent.
And to make matters worse, there are also people who only buy Voss water because they want a glass bottle (I've read this several times on Migipedia!). But it would be easier to buy an empty glass bottle - especially as these are also available with a handle cap.

@sasu44. Well, EPTINGER mineral water - there is no mineral water with a higher mineral content - is available in glass bottles. Whether in "our" MIGROS, I don't know, I haven't seen any in "our" MIGROS-Aare. Possibly in the canton of BS, BL, the headquarters of this family business is in Sissach BL. Is that a good thing? And the great thing about this company, which incidentally also includes LOSTORFER, is that there is a family with employees behind it, which secures jobs. I know that, the people are very innovative, a Swiss company, not a multinational. It is also interesting to know that the program KASSENSTURZ rated EPTINGER and LOSTORFER mineral water as the best in Switzerland, containing neither uranium nor harmful substances. Simply honest water. Cheers!

@Twilight. No problem, it does exist. Never seen in "our" MIGROS-Aare, but at Rio-Getränke. In "my" MIGROS they are rented from MIGROS. Cheers!

And what EVERYONE has forgotten so far: PET is not 100% recyclable. You always have to add a lot of new granulate to make new PET bottles. What's more, if it's not collected cleanly, it can't be used. So reusable glass would be the best solution. But customers' wishes are not listened to. If Coop comes up with the idea, they will certainly have a good demand.
