Mimi's craft boxes - Flying owl

Mimis Bastelboxen - Flugeule

Has anyone from the forum had any experience with the flying owl from the Mimis craft box? I find it a "cheap" imposition! When assembling it, we discovered that the slot for the owl's tail (K) was on the wrong side of the plastic hook (M). With surgical precision, sawing tools and a lot of luck, I was able to solve the problem. My nephew, who chose the same box, has the same problem :-( As for flying.... with such a messed up crank mechanism, no matter how tight you tighten the rubber band, nothing moves, which makes you wonder whether the marketing department (or whoever launches such ideas) has ever tried it themselves?

Hello Hansueli00 Please send your request to migros-helpline@migros.ch. Please indicate which parts of the tinker box are defective or missing and also send a photo of the box. We may be able to help you further. best regards Peter

We also had this problem. The slot for the tail feathers is open on the wrong side. Problem solved with a sharp craft knife, which I heated with a flame beforehand. Then pushed through like butter. But be careful, things can go wrong.

If I "catch" one of these things, can I exchange it at the information desk?

Bodenseeknusperli

I don't think they are produced individually, some with faults, others without. If that were the case, they would all have to be exchanged for a new faulty one. Uii hopefully these are not Christmas presents and then there will be sad faces if not everyone can fix the fault. But I don't think anyone from Migros will unpack one and check it?

That's right, it might affect everyone... Not good.

Same for me :( Wrong page!

"It makes you wonder whether marketing (or whoever launches such ideas) has tried it out themselves?"Maybe not tried it out, but they certainly filmed it : https://youtu.be/DxYdYK2P44E Is that right in the movie (at minute 2'30"?)?

? this is exactly how it should look! the opening of the hook, for the rubber band, must face backwards. maybe it is a faulty batch in my case... or in the movie it was a prototype ?

Do you have a photo?

Do you have a photo?

Sorry, I have a few photos, but unfortunately I have no idea how to insert them :-(

Hello cramcram If your offspring have fun and enjoy playing, then our goal has been achieved ;-) Best regards Peter
