Our junior (24) loves solving crossword puzzles. Today he was horrified: They spell the solution word wrong. Yes, that's right, but I wouldn't have noticed it with my age. It's nettle leaves, with 3 N!!!!! Just for a smile and to show how something familiar stays in the brain ;-)

Yes, I really have to smile when you write nettle leaves with 3 T. The solution word is nettle and not nettle leaves, isn't it? People used to write nettle, but now, after the spelling reform, they write stinging nettle.

I think it's a great pity that only the short solution is published on the crossword puzzle page instead of the whole puzzle on the following page as it used to be. This was always instructive, especially for my junior, as they also learn to discuss the "solution path" at school. Yours sincerely, Caspar Stuppan

I agree with them. It was also interesting for me and probably for many others to see the whole solution to the puzzle, even as an adult! This service must be brought back! Flavio Kreis

Why is there no exact solution to the crossword puzzle? - that's "Hanebuchen" if the reason is a lack of paper - then do without the crossword puzzle altogether.
