I'm doing a vegan month and I noticed that in the Migros restaurant (Zugerland), 8 out of 9 menus are usually meat-based and there is practically never a vegan menu. My suggestion: Try a fixed vegan menu or more vegetarian menus. There is the option of eating vegan food at the buffet, but even there it is difficult to say what is vegan or vegi. The marking only says vegetarian, but not whether it is vegan. My suggestion: Declare what is vegan and vegetarian.

What I actually wanted to write: I also notice very strongly that it's difficult to eat vegan in Migros restaurants. When I meet someone at a Migros restaurant for a morning meal, I always buy a margarine in the food department and take it into the restaurant because there is no alternative to butter. Same with the coffee cream, I buy the plant-based cream downstairs and take it with my coffee... But when it comes to hot meals, I desperately want plant-based alternatives because I can't cook them myself in the restaurant.... Vegan is not the same as diet. We also have to eat a wholesome diet and can do so if we are given chickpeas, lupins, mushrooms (something other than mushrooms, please!!!!), pulses, proteins from all grains, soy and everything that can be made from it, hemp protein etc. etc. You're Migros, you know what's available in your ever-growing vegan range ;-) And I would also be very happy at the salad buffet if I had a chance to know what is plant-based. At some point, the problem with "contamination" will have to be solved anyway, because more and more people want to pay attention to it. It's like with products: If it says, may contain eggs, milk etc.... then as a vegan I can safely ignore this because I know it is not an intentional part of the product. I just don't want to support the livestock industry, but I don't do that either if it says so. Wouldn't that also work legally for salads with such a note? Then another praise: I have already noticed that some of the salads have more vegetable protein sources than before. (I once found a salad with chickpeas or beans without milk sauce ;-) Keep up the good work!
