Hello everyone, does anyone know when it will be possible to use the twint app with Migros Bank?
I am now with another bank because they are simply taking a very long time or are not doing anything in this direction. Nevertheless, I'm still wondering whether something will happen in the future.
@Hassan2018 Just try it yourself and you will see that this is not true. If you click on my link posted above, you'll see it immediately "Twinten even without a UBS account. For everyone." And no, it's not the prepaid app. And no, I don't have a UBS account.
I've already tried it, and without a UBS Ebanking contract it's not possible, at least that's what the app itself says.

@Hassan2018 With the UBS Twint app you can probably store all credit cards - even those not issued by UBS: in this case the M-Cumulus Mastercard. What you can't do with the UBS Twint app, however, is link it to the Migrosbank debit account. But this is also the case with the Postfinance Twint app: M-Cumulus Mastercard also works there, but logically only the Postfinance Card works with the debit card --- this is also the reason why there are a dozen Twint versions. But there are also individual banks that only allow the "in-house credit cards" with their Twint version !

Yes, it is not possible to link it to the account. The only thing that works is Twint Prepaid via LSV. At the moment I send the money to a bank and then have my Twint account topped up. I hope that something will finally come from Migros Bank. But you can wait a long time for that, there have only been standard answers for 1-2 years but nothing has happened yet.

@Hassan99 The case is clear: for debit cards, only the debit card of your own bank is permitted for each Twint version and there is not (yet) a Migros Bank Twint app. Twint clearly says the following under "other banks" (=because Migros Bank is not listed there): "UBS TWINT: Connect any credit or prepaid card with the TWINT app.
Even without a UBS account" ...that was @theFreeman's mistake: he only read the last sentence "Even without a UBS account" and perhaps even confused the prepaid card with the debit card. Prepaid card only means that you have to have a positive balance (=your own credit) on it, but in terms of handling it is actually a credit card.
I also use the M-Cumulus Mastercard credit card as a prepaid card because it is then easier to compare the positive balance with the SMS call in the Cembra app (the difference is always the credit limit of e.g. CHF 2000), i.e. Credit balance of CHF 555 - Cembra app shows me CHF 2555 as the available amount ... the payment is always made to the same account number AND the same reference number ... ... or you can use Twint Prepaid - this is also offered on the Twint website for the same situation (=other banks).
@Hassan2018 that's not true, I don't have a prepaid credit card or a UBS account, but a Cumulus Mastercard and an account with Migros Bank. With the UBS Twint app, you can also add accounts from other banks. Try it out! :-)

I also have a Migros Bank account and use Twint without any problems. Simply install the UBS Twint app and it runs smoothly with a Migros Bank account.

I don't have a UBS account, it works fine for me with Twint and a Migrosbank account. And I don't have the prepaid version of Twint, but the normal one with a direct account link.

Hey Emin, your answer is the most recent, so I'm asking you now... I've only managed it with a credit card as a payment method, the Migros Bank account is only stored as a credit account. Is it the same for you? or have you also managed to add your Migros Bank account as a payment method? Thank you & greetings
