Hello everyone, am I on the wrong track, or is there really no app for this platform? Is it already "in the making" or is it really not planned?

So at the moment I can't find an app in the Apple Store under the term "migipedia" either. So it doesn't exist today. I don't think one is planned. It's more practical to write with the 10-finger system on a PC than on a cell phone anyway. I therefore think that there is no need for such an app.

I don't think so - a clear app for testing, voting, browsing etc. would make sense, wouldn't it?

Hello Naar I understand your wish. Migipedia on mobile is perhaps not quite optimal in one place or another. However, we are not planning our own Migipedia app. But I can tell you at this point that we have invested a lot of time in recent months to make Migipedia even more mobile-friendly - after all, almost 75% of people use Migipedia on a cell phone these days. We are currently working on tests. If all goes well, we may be able to present a new Migipedia page by the end of January. More about this in a few days in a separate post here in the forum. Best regards Philipp

Hi Philipp I've noticed that there are many (especially negative) reviews on Migipedia without text. Couldn't you make it so that anyone who wants to give stars has to justify their choice with at least one or two sentences? Then perhaps some "ratings" would be eliminated, but those that are useful to other consumers and you would remain....

Good morning simone_ru It's solved like this: Without ⭐️ no rating or without rating no ⭐️. You didn't notice that these ratings are older. They are from the first versions, such as the beta version of Migipedia, where you could only give ⭐️ ⭐️. Best regardsFrederica

Hello simone_ru It's exactly as Frederica writes. In the past - that must have been before 2014 - you could also give stars without leaving a comment. Together with the community, we then decided (around 2014) to only allow the combination of stars and comments. After all, the comments are valuable for other customers as well as for us. With best regards Philipp
With today's possibilities, there is no point in developing a special app if there is no compelling reason to do so. Websites can be optimized for display on mobile devices to such an extent that it makes practically no difference whether the user has an app or a browser window in front of them. It is then sufficient to place a link to the respective page on the desktop in order to call up the desired content directly. One of the best examples I know of is the website of the Rex movie theater in Thun. I personally don't even bother installing existing apps such as Wikipedia for this reason.

Thanks for pointing that out, I hadn't really noticed... of course, since I always rate with text anyway, I've never even tried without it - otherwise I probably would have noticed. 😄 Anyway, great that it only works with text.

Unfortunately there is no app, which I think is a shame. But hopefully one will come soon!

In all modesty, I would still like to point out a flaw in the new Migipedia outfit: The extremely poor legibility of the orange color. It is already clear to me that orange is the color of Migros like yellow is the color of the post office. In my opinion, however, this would be completely sufficient for the logo or marking arrows, bars, etc. The contrast between the font and the white background is simply too weak. Using dark mode with 100% brightness every time and only for Migipedia is too much work for me.
