Sorry Migros, but it's getting really annoying that you are removing products from the range that have been on the shelves for many years and are now suddenly no longer being sold. This is not the first time that very good products that have been around for many years have simply disappeared.

I generally don't see it as an incitement against brands per se, but rather a lack of understanding when a private label that is really fine is replaced with a branded product that is already available everywhere. e.g. Paddy's zmorgeflöckli, have been thrown out because "sales went down" and a short time later there is 1:1 simply from kelloggs. Aha. And many people have always liked Paddys, it was just a memory thing, migros is simply losing its DNA and what makes it special. "Weisch no, früherehner ide migros..." will never be said by today's children when they grow up, because the products they know are available everywhere and can be bought elsewhere, so why go to migros in particular? I would rather make less profit but offer other products that are "less profitable", but which I know are not available anywhere else and the people who buy them are happy and therefore come to my store, and so will their children. That used to be the case with Migros, but it's just that. Money. It rules. That's just the way it is.

It's also the typical convenience argument that the yellow pill uses here: I don't want to have to go to another store to buy this or that branded product. As if such people have to go there specially and are not otherwise in these stores all the time and therefore have enough opportunity to buy these things at the same time. Migros is of course aware of people's convenience and is therefore bringing in external brands in order to steal a thousandth of a percent of the competition's sales here and there - and forgetting the loyal Migros children who miss the own brands that have disappeared "due to lack of space". The list of own-brand products that have disappeared AFTER the range was expanded with external brands (Lindt, Camille Bloch, Toblerone, Ovomaltine, Caotina, to name just a few examples) would fill books. And since I don't reward Migros for taking away things I've loved for years, I consistently buy these third-party brands elsewhere. If all the loyal Migros children did this and didn't take the rap for it, Migros' marketing managers would stop it immediately. But that's just convenience...

Hello Dogmai, the M-Classic sea salt with herbs was taken out of the range 2 years ago because demand was too low. The Herbamare product is more popular in comparison. Kind regards, Susi

So so aha, "The Herbamare product is more popular in comparison". That's the same as with the chopped M-Budget Pelati, unfortunately we customers have no other choice and would have to take the train + bus for unnecessary money to a 3M, that is, to Pizolpark.

Well, of course you can't offer the same assortment in an M store as in a 3m I realize that... I wish the whole Mbudget assortment was available everywhere... but I also believe Migros that not all articles are equally popular...

For me personally, it's not about whether it's "only" a 1M. Gäuggeli is a 2M and no longer has many things. See M-Budget chopped tomatoes. I'm not the only one who dreads this. https://www.suedostschweiz.ch/gaeuggeli23

It's the same for me. For years I could at least still buy it in the big Migros stores. Here in Balsthal, this product has not been available for a long time. Instead there is the much more expensive Bioforce salt. Migros is increasingly becoming a brand-name store and its own products are being 'condemned to die' in terms of marketing. With the indication that buying behavior steers the market. But what is only sold in a few places also influences sales figures.
