I've been missing the Coke zero concentrate for the Soda Stream for two or three weeks now! That was soo nice, no lugging around bottles and doing something for the environment. But unfortunately there are only the normal concentrates left, there's nothing light anymore. I think that's a shame as I don't like drinking sugared drinks!
Where has the concentrate gone?

Hello everyone
I have contacted the product managers again to find out why the Soda Cola Zero concentrate has been removed from the range.
They confirmed to me that the sales figures had indeed fallen sharply and that the product could therefore no longer remain in the range. Incidentally, this trend is generally recognizable with soda concentrates.
I'm sorry I don't have any better news for you.

In other words, the whole soda story will die, because if sales were down in general, they certainly won't get better by taking products off the market.
Too bad. The alternative would have been to push the products. But they probably don't want to, perhaps because they can earn more from drinks bottles than from concentrates?

However, Migros is a cooperative and not primarily profit-oriented. For the consumer, it is cheaper (and easier, as you don't have to carry so much) to make your own soda. Migros could also leave a sensible product that is not a big seller in its range.

Yes, zero concentrates make sense, I have listed the reasons above. But since you seem to have the memory span of a housefly, I'll repeat them again:
- No cavities.
- Not sticky.
- Less carbon dioxide loss.
- More hygienic, as bacteria on the bottle like sugar.
- No calories.

it makes sense, to use your words, to withdraw products whose sales are inadequate from circulation!
Everyone has to use their limited space appropriately. Migros is no exception, because they still use numbers after the decimal point for stock management!
Due to a lack of space, I don't have any spaghetti, my brother's favorite pasta, which I rarely see, in stock because I prefer pappardelle. So the spaghetti would be dead capital and wasted space.

That's all clear to me, although my name is Lagler and not Lager. But you could also add the higher storage costs to the product price and then see how it goes, couldn't you?
Maybe it's not even the storage costs that are the decisive factor, but the production costs, as lower economies of scale with low production, who knows? But you could counter this by simply buying from the original manufacturer (Sodastream) instead of producing it yourself.
There would certainly have been other options. But if I understand Tanja correctly, the "person responsible for the product" only looked at the nil sales figures and didn't even try to find another solution to make the product profitable again.
That annoys me.

I'm sure there are other products that are only bought very rarely. How often do you need a stopper for the sink? Once every 5 years or less? Nevertheless, such items are in the range.

I think that the topic of "sugar-free" should be tackled by Migros in general. The latest figures show the rapid development of diabetes in children! My suggestion: create a separate segment with corresponding identification (color). This has worked very well in the past: blue = light (low-fat), green = m-budget (good value). Why not black = sugar-free? This would be applicable to all product ranges in the food sector.
I am a diabetic myself and am directly affected by the discontinuation of item 7617500 197104. Here are my shelf observations of "concentrates" in the MM Mythencenter: Coke Zero - little to nonexistent (shelf space 3 bottles wide). If missing, the answer from the staff was always "Out Of Stock". In other words: sold out! At the same time, however, orange, grapefruit etc., which are not really of interest to adults as these are (in my opinion) typical "children's products".
