Hello dear Migros
I missed the "new" coconut fat(http://i.imgur.com/tTFJNr8.jpg) during my last shopping trip. Has it been taken out of the range? I can't find it online in the Migros portal either.
I thought it was great that you switched from the old, hardened coconut fat to this healthier variant. But I don't want to switch to the 4x more expensive Alnatura just because it's organic. The glass packaging at Alnatura also annoys me.
Supply bottleneck? Completely removed from the range? I'm hoping for the former?

Dear vetmode
I have already received feedback from the product managers: In principle, the M-Classic coconut fat should be in the range as normal. However, it is quite possible that it was not available in your store at very short notice. If you can't find it the next time you go shopping, please ask the staff on site.
Best regards
Tanja

Hello
Alnatura coconut oil has the EU organic seal printed on it, but as it is not an EU product, it is tantamount to a lie. The Netherlands, France and Germany produce coconut oil from imported copra. It remains to be seen how sensible this is, given that there are plenty of plants growing in our country that could be used to produce oil of the same or much better quality. The fact is that this special coconut oil from Alnatura is imported ready-made from outside the EU (presumably Asia). Anyone who buys this should be forced to drink the amount of heavy oil that comes with it.
Everywhere you go you get food with a green sticker on the packaging and it is supposed to be organic, even in the case of staple foods. When you buy organic bread, you are lying to yourself with every bite, because the raw materials are not significantly different from normal bread. The acerola contained in organic bread comes from Central and South America, but has exactly the same effect as domestic ascorbic acid, which is used to treat flour in normal bread. The ascorbic acid that we can buy here in Switzerland and in Europe comes from here. Hoffmann-LaRoche was the world market leader with this product for a long time, followed by BASF. The stuff is still produced here, even though Roche sold the division to the Dutch in 2002. Even if it came from Holland, there would be less diesel in it than if you shipped acerola halfway around the world.
Amazingly, people see a green spot on the packaging of a product, realize that the product is more expensive than normal and suddenly believe in the organic lie, which automatically deactivates their autonomous thinking.
Greetings from the Migi piglet

Coconut oil and healthy? Where did you get this nonsense from? You might as well use butter made from cow's milk fat. It's just as unhealthy! With virgin oil, the special taste is the only justification for occasional, sparing use.

The medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) in coconut oil are very healthy. For example, there are studies where these, together with fish oil, have helped people with Alzheimer's very much:https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4202787/
MCTs are also found in butter (which apparently doesn't suit you either), and butter also contains oleic acid, vitamins, etc.. So it certainly has healthy properties.
I don't know why you're so against these two foods, I'm not a fan of soy either, for example, but that's not why I criticize other people who eat it ;)

Coconut fat and butter are wrongly demonized.
Coconut fat consists of medium-chain triglycerides, which are very easy to digest. It contains a lot of lauric acid, a very healthy fatty acid.
Since butter contains both saturated and unsaturated fatty acids, it is a good thing. Let's take a look at the saturated ones. Only some of them are unhealthy (myristic acid and palmitic acid). Overall, 2/3 of the fats in butter are healthy and only a third are unhealthy.
"MCTs make up only like 10% of the coconut oil. Most of coconut oil is the cholesterol-raising longer-chain saturated fats, lauric and myristic."
