Hello
Is an alternative router possible for internet access ?
If yes, is there a list, or is any vdsl modem router suitable ?
I can't find any technical information about the WinBox,
so I don't know whether it meets my requirements, but I suspect not.

Hi Paul I know your request was a long time ago, but was there a solution to your problem? I have the same problem now. The WinBox does indeed exist without the WSP function and the printer unfortunately does not recognize the signal. The installation CD is also gone, printer software does not work because iOS recognizes the printer immediately. Perhaps one of you knows a solution? I would be annoyed if I had to buy a new printer because of the missing WSP button.

Hello raincloud No, without information there was no deal. I chose the safest solution, Swisscom. Maybe you can activate WPS in the router menu, sorry, otherwise no idea. You can get the CD for sure from customer service or online good luck

@Regenwolke Which Winbox do you have? The old, black one from Netgear or the newer one from ADB or the current, dark gray one with the beveled corner at the front? On the old Netgear Winbox, the WPS button is on the front on the far right outside. On the ADB Winbox, the WPS button should be on the back. On the current, dark gray Winbox, the WPS button is the PLUS button on the beveled corner. What kind of installation CD do you need? There is/is no need for a CD for the Winbox. You can download the latest drivers for printers. The ones supplied on CD are usually out of date anyway

Hello Easthouse I have the latest Winbox. According to the helpline, the plus button does not work ;-)) But I will try it tomorrow, thanks for the tip. With the installation CD I meant the one from the printer, sorry ;-) According to the helpline there, they couldn't get me one and I downloaded the latest driver, but it doesn't work with the iOS and the WLAN function can only be selected directly on the printer with the installation CD. I can trigger the search for the router on the printer, but the two simply can't be found. But I'll try that with the plus button ;-) Thank you

Hey Easthouse Unfortunately it didn't work. According to the hotline, the WinBox is also not WSP-capable. This is the first negative point of the MBudget Internet package. Since I'm missing the installation CD from the printer, it looks like I'll have to buy a new printer. What nonsense, we can go to the moon, but it's not possible to connect a printer to the WinBox afterwards ;-(
