I've been using the Migros app for my purchases right from the start (to activate and use shopping lists, Cumulus vouchers and more). If available, I use self-scanning. During the payment process, I also log in via the app (or show the QR code for scanning at the checkout).
After completing the payment process, I always receive a purchase receipt and often one (or even several) paper receipts. Even before the receipt is printed out by the checkout, the Migros app notifies me that I have received one (or more) receipts. Both the purchase receipt and the paper receipts all end up unused in my waste paper.
Couldn't a setting option be built into the app so that you can choose to no longer receive paper receipts? That way, the system would automatically know that no receipt needs to be printed out.
