Without making a big story public now (I'll do that later), I simply have a question for Migros.
As you know, on the back of the blue Cumulus vouchers it says the following: "Cumulus vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot be used outside Migros. Furthermore, Cumulus vouchers cannot be used to purchase other means of payment (vouchers, gift cards, etc.)."
However, you can buy gift cards at the self-checkout or via subito and pay for them either directly using the blue vouchers or via the Migros app using the previously activated blue Cumulus vouchers.
Question:
Why is this possible if it is apparently not allowed? I have already bought gift cards in this way several times, as it is simply more practical to pay at the checkout, as the respective amount is deducted to the exact amount and not, as with the Cumulus vouchers, only to the nearest 5, which makes it necessary to pay the remaining amount by cash or credit card.
Was my procedure of paying for the gift cards with the blue vouchers not legal, or is it intentional that this function is not deactivated? I am very curious about the Migros answer!
