Mohrenköpfe gone - one M bad. What a pity! As they have been removed from the range as a result of a simple tweet, I regret to inform Migros that the next annual report will close with a personal loss in sales of CHF 720 caused by me. I will be suspending one weekly purchase at Migros every month from July. This is in response to the disproportionate ban on "racist sweets".
At least 1 M worse, would even say several M's gone. And suddenly, after a more than tragic incident in America, people are trying to find racist words that have nothing to do with racism at all. For example, if there was a lettuce on the market with the name paleface because it was lighter in color than all the other lettuces, would it occur to me to get angry about it and demand a name change? Even if someone of a different color called me paleface? As if there were no other problems in this world. Racism is and remains a big problem and we should try to do something about it. But aren't actions such as the boycott of the sale of Dubler's Moorish heads stirring up even more prejudice against one race? Let traditions, words etc. in Switzerland remain as they are, as long as they are not really racist, and encourage the population with sustainable suggestions for a good coexistence of people of all skin colors. I give Migros a bad report card. You could make a good case for selling it on. The best thing to do now is to scour the entire range for names that could discriminate against anyone. I'll just get my Dubler Mohrenköpfe from Mr. Dubler's factory with more CO2 emissions (they're cheaper there too!!!). I hope he doesn't let me get him down.
The machines at Dubler have been running hot since Migros stopped buying direct, which seems to be more interesting than the uniformity of the products on the shelves.
