A good friend of mine regularly buys these Mohrenköpfe for someone in South Tyrol whenever there is a promotion. Unfortunately, the problem is that the packet inflates massively on the Flüela during the 2-pass trip and the chocolate tears. How can this be prevented?

The problem is not the excess pressure in the packaging (you could simply equalize the pressure by opening the packaging), but the carrot heads themselves.
The reason why the carrot tops burst is very easy to explain in physical terms: the carrot tops contain foam (the filling) that is sealed airtight with chocolate. The foam consists largely of air. This air was presumably trapped under the local air pressure at the factory that produced the Mohrenköpfe.
Let us now assume that the carrots were produced 500m above sea level. This means that the air in the foam is under a pressure of ~95 kPa. Now you take them to the Flüela Pass, approx. 2300m above sea level - the external pressure is then ~77 kPa.
Due to the pressure difference - 18 kPa or approx. 180g/cm^2 - the filling expands and then presses against the chocolate from the inside. It probably cannot withstand this...
A remedy is really not that easy. You would have to pack the package in an airtight, preferably rigid container that can withstand the pressure difference. However, I can't think of anything that you would normally have in your household that could hold a whole pack.
Preserving jars perhaps? But be careful that they are sturdy, you really don't want to see them burst!
A pressure cooker? That would certainly withstand it (they are built for approx. 0.8 bar or 80 kPa), but it is also expensive and not available in every household.
But now I'm interested in how the mountain restaurants do it? You can also buy chocolate kisses there and they are still "whole"! Are they brought up to the mountain in stages? We always transport chocolate kisses on our ski vacations. They always burst open. That's the dessert on the first evening😉
