For the first time in ages, I bought boiled budget eggs at Migros. Unfortunately, they have almost all the characteristics of 5 minute eggs. Not just one, but all of them. As we all know, pictures speak louder than words.

I never buy imports. The way the hens are kept is often not very good.

You can't eat them at all. You don't know how well they've been cooled...
I think they are super fine
If the egg yolk is runny, the risk of salmonella etc. is high.
They should be hard when bought.
I like them like this at home too. But I cook them fresh and eat them quickly. Or know that they are properly chilled.
Believe me, you don't want salmonella. I caught it a long time ago at a supermarket chain in Germany.
It was clear that I got it from there. Because some friends had the same thing. A week of diarrhea...
Better not to eat it then, cook it yourself. The risk is very high.

The egg pictured is clearly too soft. I always buy the Swiss eggs in the 4-pack and they have always been perfect so far.

The supplier informs us that our Pic Nic eggs, regardless of the item, are cooked so that the yolk is still slightly creamy. The egg white should be firm so that the eggs can be peeled easily and practically. You should then be able to cut the egg into 4 pieces without it falling apart. The vast majority of our customers appreciate this consistency.
Our salad eggs are more suitable for slicing with the egg slicer because they are cooked a little firmer. Why not give them a try?

However, the salad eggs are barn eggs. I therefore prefer the free-range picnic eggs. These are easy to cut.
P.S. Migros is, however, in the process of removing barn eggs from its range. Depending on the store, the salad eggs may therefore also be free-range.
Thanks for the tip. I boiled the eggs again and they were still easy to peel afterwards. I would like to see a poll on Migipedia asking who prefers half-boiled eggs to fully cooked eggs. I bet it's less than 30%.
