Dear Migros, please include onions in your frozen food range. The time saved would be worth its weight in gold for me as a mother.

Freeze onions? What would you like, finely chopped or onion rings? I can just imagine what a tomato salad or salmon rolls with frozen onions would look like ;-) But you could do it yourself: Just finely chop a round of onions and then put them in ice cube trays. Then, at least if you don't have to fry them and they don't have to be pretty, you would have onions ready for you. But I can't imagine that this would be a much-bought product. Especially as onions are available as a spice and already in tubes. And if you really want frozen onions: Please make sure they are cut into rings! That would save me hours of crying for the onion salad. And it would also be the same how they would look after such an action :-D

I actually cut the onions into small pieces myself at the moment and then freeze them. But it's quite a lot of work. In Germany you can buy frozen onions and peppers. These onions are chopped.

Coop Megastore even has frozen garlic in addition to onions, I've already seen it in Lidl, they both also have frozen herbs, I don't know if Aldi has them.

Thank you!
Hello Killergorilla, thank you for your contribution. I would be happy to inform our frozen food department of your request. However, I ask for your understanding if we do not implement it immediately or at all. Kind regards, Luisa

Are the frozen onions available now?
Time saving: 20 seconds per onion? Is the cost of packaging and freezing energy worth it? Probably not.

Hello Sonnenschein_2, we do indeed have one item in our range. However, the Cipolla are only available regionally in the cooperatives of Geneva, Vaud, Neuchâtel-Fribourg and Valais, or you can order the onions from Migros Online. We do not stock frozen onions nationally. Best regards, Mia
Why not cut them yourself and put them in the freezer?????
After more than two years, I have the time to cut onions again. But as you can read, it was all about saving time. And believe me, when I had time without a child, I didn't want to spend 30 minutes chopping onions. I'd rather shower or pre-cook. Incidentally, you can ask yourself this question for all frozen products.
