I heard about the family tills from a friend. No sweets, a wide aisle and a platform where the children can help with the packing. Will there soon be such a checkout in Steinhausen (Zugerland)? Unfortunately, the last Lillibiggs checkout was removed because of the Subito checkouts :(

Why not entire stores just for families? Why do families always believe they have more rights than "normal" people, especially when it comes to shopping? Famigros card, family parking spaces, crèches etc. You don't always have to take the little ones with you when you go shopping, it's not hygienic anyway if they sit in the shopping cart with their pooped diapers or paw at everything.

I can agree with you. In Migros here, it hasn't gotten to the point where there are family tills etc. yet.
I have nothing against families and nothing against children. But I think that Migros makes a bit too much of a fuss about families.
I often went shopping with my parents, and there were no family tills etc. back then. And yet we survived *SMILE*
Your last sentence just got me thinking. Now I think I'll think twice before putting a grocery in the pram child seat :!
good idea stecki! famigros branches! :) no, seriously... this has nothing at all to do with "more rights". switzerland is a family-friendly country... it also benefits people who don't have children. It would only be one checkout out of a total of about 20 checkouts... I really don't see the problem there... and to describe children as "not hygienic" is really a bit off the mark... I don't even want to know how often the shopping carts are pushed by hands that haven't been washed after the toilet, for example! but if you ask migros nicely, there might soon be shopping carts for "non-families"... they could be sterilized after every use ;)
First of all, very few branches have 20 cash registers. For the life of me, I don't know how a family checkout would benefit other people, after all there would be one less checkout for everyone else. As far as hygiene is concerned, you are certainly right, but a child does not belong in a shopping cart carrying food.
i didn't say there should be a family checkout in all migros! in zugerland (an MMM) there is definitely enough space! the positive thing about the "family extras"
- Family checkouts: Children can actively help out and are not exposed to the sweets at the checkout... so much less whining and shouting.
- Family app: children have more space to get in, which reduces the risk of the car door being slammed against the car next to it (despite the parents being very careful). in addition, families usually have to load the larger purchases.
- Famigro card: these are mainly campaigns that affect families... or would you have a use for diapers and the like?
the fewest bacteria are from the children that you find on the shopping cart. the food is all well packaged, fruit and vegetables have to be peeled and/or washed anyway... there is certainly a lot more eating or coughing on them... so fruit and vegetables that have fallen on the floor don't end up in the garbage can either...
- Family cash registers: You should just leave whining children at home. It's the same as having a screaming "goof" sitting next to you on an airplane.
Famigros card: As far as I know, it gives you extra Cumulus points on a weekday (in addition to Thursday). Yes, I would have use for that too.
- Parking spaces: Less space for other parking lots. If someone damages my car, they have to report it as soon as possible and otherwise I'll be reported to the police.
Children in shopping carts: It's unhygienic and just doesn't belong, even if bacteria can certainly get to the food in other ways, it's simply unappetizing. And how often have I had to watch a child eating something while shopping and the mother then leaving the smeared packet somewhere on a shelf (I assume without paying).

Children are children and not machines that you can adjust to the way you want them to be at that moment. the whining is not pre-programmed and can start in the middle of the shopping trip... as far as flying is concerned, I would recommend flying first class. Then you'll have peace of mind. And those who think that families with children shouldn't get on a plane (because they might whine) should stay at home ;)
famigros card. then order one too... they won't check whether you really have children.
PP: of course the damage will be reported! but it also involves time and effort for the injured party. and not that many normal pp are lost as a result.
the toddlers sitting in the shopping trolley are usually not even walking yet! i.e. most of them are freshly dressed and sitting in the trolley in socks or leather heels... what is unhygienic about that?!
the fact that there are mothers who leave packages lying around is clearly unacceptable... but there are also plenty of other adults who "steal" things like that. again, that doesn't have much to do with "families".
in the end, i would recommend that you be a little more open to families and children... because thanks to them, your pension is secure.
Aha, I must have hit a sore spot. I'm just generally of the opinion that families with children should simply be more considerate of other people. And why should I fly first class when the screamer keeps the whole plane awake? Why do small children have to fly at all? And as a counter-argument to the pension, I have to say that our planet is already overpopulated and every child is one too many, but that's nothing personal against children, just the basic idea. Well, before this degenerates into a fundamental discussion on the subject of children: yes or no? or an argument, I'll withdraw. My point should be clear, there's nothing more to say.

You must have had a really bad day, if you make such statements you have to be able to take the arguments of the families, I don't know you and you don't know my children, if your parents had thought like that back then...............
Unfortunately, I can't leave my children (3/5/9) at home when I go shopping, I always try to shop alone if possible, I don't like the nagging either.
They are not allowed to eat in the store, they have to sit in the seats provided for them.
