Ezekiel bread or meal bread

Ezekiel Brot oder auch Essenerbrot

Hello everyone

Due to my almost daily fitness training, I am also dependent on a balanced and healthy diet. As I also like to eat bread, but most breads contain a lot of added sugar, I did some research on the Internet to see if there are any healthy bread options.

I came across a type of bread that is unfortunately only well known in America at the moment. I found the 'Ezekiel Toast' on various sites. Here is a short explanation (in English only):

What is Ezekiel Bread?
Ezekiel bread is different for several reasons.
Whereas most breads contain added sugar, Ezekiel bread contains none.
It is also made from organic, sprouted whole grains. The sprouting process changes the nutrient composition of the grains significantly.
In contrast to most commercial breads, which consist primarily of refined wheat or pulverized whole wheat, Ezekiel bread contains several different types of grains and legumes:

    • 4 types of cereal grains: Wheat, Millet, Barley and Spelt.

  • 2 types of legumes: Soybeans and Lentils.

As the whole fitness and nutrition movement is also becoming quite popular in Switzerland, it would certainly be a great product for all fitness enthusiasts to sell. Migros already has various protein powders on offer.

I'm already looking forward to your answer.

Hello senoriitah
A little late, but my short answer anyway. The Essener bread is available in almost every health food store. But I'm sure you've noticed that by now. I came across the Essen bread through the book "4 Blood Groups by Peter J. Adamo". Highly recommended.
Best wishes and have fun

hello

i would also very much like to be able to buy such breads, alkaline breads, in migros...

Since you don't always have the opportunity to grow sprouts, I would be VERY happy to have an Essen bread in the Migros.

Since in certain situations you CAN'T make the bread yourself, I would be happy if it was available in Migros...... In the meantime, enough people are interested....The demand is HUGE.

Hello @jive2juice3, thank you for your message. I have contacted the relevant specialist department. Unfortunately, I have to inform you that there are no plans to offer an Essener bread. If necessary, we will consider your input again at a later date. Kind regards, Richi

I would also like to buy it at Migro.

So this is an old post I see but I would love this bread to be available in Migros. I've also been interested in a Rye bread but I've found it in Migros only one type of Rye bread. It is not ideal as the crust is too hard. Something like Sumava Rye bread would have been fantastic.

Now I had to ask Google what kind of bread this is...
And it sounds good.

But I don't think it's necessary to ask why it's not available in Migros.
Is the bread available as a ready-made baking mix?
Are there really still bakers in Migros? Real bakers who can bake! Baking a ready-made mix is now the norm.
Even some bakeries no longer bake themselves, but bake blanks and bake ready-made baking mixes.

I would probably ask a baker who is well frequented, who is big enough, who likes to bake properly and also has the facilities. Someone who possibly bakes something special and likes to experiment.

Who knows, if it's available in the bakeries, it might also end up in Migros / Coop.

Hello Tanja

I would also be happy about the Ezekiel bread :-) Maybe we can find some more followers

I'd also like to have some in French-speaking Switzerland.

I would also be very happy for these 2 breads if they were added to the range.
