Who hasn't experienced this - a favorite product is removed from the list. Eimalzin Petit Beurre - far superior in quality to its market competitors. The answer to my written request is unsatisfactory. Is there any way of campaigning for its return to the shelves?
At Migros, products are unfortunately disappearing by the meter and are either completely removed from the range (with the same justification every time, see here in the forum: Space problems on the shelves, doesn't meet customer needs, etc.), or are then replaced by other products (I haven't liked any of these "replacement products" to date; the products that have disappeared were the best for us). Eimalzin Petit Beurre is another product that we also loved and which has now been removed from the range. I suspect it has been replaced by Ovomaltine Petit Beurre (https://produkte.migros.ch/ovomaltine-petit-beurre) and will not be coming back. As far as I've seen, Eimalzin Petit Beurre is still available here: https://www.livra4.ch/Petit-Beurre-Eimalzin-150g-p189071172 (for how long is written in the stars). Is quite possible that M has discontinued production of this product. There is no way to lobby for its return to the shelf as far as I know. You can post it here in the forum and ask Migros to bring a product back; they then ask the responsible department, but the answer is usually always the same: Migros is not planning to put the product back on the shelves. Migros alone decides whether a product is returned or not (I assume that the relevant turnover is decisive for M; if it is no longer right for M, the product disappears or is replaced by a more expensive one or similar); as an (unimportant/micky) customer, you can't do much about it. I think there is a thread here in the forum that deals with products that customers would like to have back. As far as I can remember, practically no product that has been removed from the range is ever returned, with perhaps a few very rare exceptions...

I find it very one-eyed and one-dimensional that the majority of product decisions are based on demand. Please find a better mix of demand (and profit margin) and uniqueness or distinctiveness that is more plausible for the loyal M customer. The loyal M customer goes back to the store mainly because of these unique products, and then of course buys the rest there too. If Migros only has mainstream products in its range, the biggest incentive to shop at Migros is lost. Is that what you really want?
Would also like to ask whether Eimalzin is being discontinued? A classic Migros success story to be scrapped after 90 years?

We don't like Ovo. âšī¸ Why does Migros want to do the same as the others in terms of product range? The own brands were exactly what made Migros what it was. And some of them were really well made. I can shop anywhere else if the Migros own products that I wanted and are no longer available are simply gone. What a shame...
