It's all over the papers today: the big article "Migros is clearing out"! But what outraged me was that Frey chocolate is being reduced to make room for Lindt chocolate! For me, this is simply a huge impertinence.

Naai, Migros certainly doesn't do that, so I don't believe it. Maybe I misunderstood something, I mean. Frey. Migros IS Frey. If things don't work out with Frey, products/ingredients/price can be reworked. But certainly not Lindt. So. I don't want to believe that right now. Is that true? @Migros
I read it today in the St. Galller Tagblatt!
On June 21, 2020, you could read in the Sonntagszeitung: "Some Migros bosses would like to have the luxury chocolate brand Lindt & Sprüngli in their product range- that would be a hard blow for their own manufacturer Frey."
Do you mean the article I already had here? https://migipedia.migros.ch/de/forum/m-budget-weg?backtoboard=q%3D%26p%3D1%26sort%3Dlast_activity&reply=7f906dc2-299d-4055-8ce6-791d939b437f The article https://amp.aargauerzeitung.ch/ohnelink/die-migros-mistet-ihre-eigenmarken-aus-mit-folgen-fuer-die-kultmarke-m-budget-138909792

Aah good. I was annoyed too.↵↵I like Lind, but you can buy it elsewhere Frey doesn't.↵Lidl now also has something like eimalzin/ovomaltine as a private label.↵It's funny that they're reinventing themselves and Migros is throwing private labels out of the range 😢.↵It's such a shame. I miss a lot of things.

There was also a huge article in the Bündner Zeitung today about it, I suspect that it contained the same thing throughout Switzerland, the report was also about M-Budget and M-Classic, among other things, my conclusion is that Migros is dismantling itself.
No, that can't be - never! ;-) As the M-Infoline wrote a month ago under the discussion on Eimalzin:"The expansion of the Migros range with branded products continues to be an exception. Our strong own brands still make up the largest part of the range. This is to maintain the price-performance advantage."So when they write that, I believe it. Period.
Whether Migros does it or not, it would just be stupid and that's why I don't want to believe it. So sorry, but no, if that really happens, then there will soon be really little reason why we can't just skip Migros when we do our weekly shopping.
Migros has been doing nothing but incomprehensible things for many months now
Jagut that's unfortunately true, but THAT...?! Hence my comment that I don't believe it. Well, no, no one is that stupid. A desperate attempt to boost sales by tearing down its cornerstones more and more and becoming a faceless company? Unfortunately, Migros has been doing this for a long time, but that would be... It's better to implement basic values, good prices (reintroduce more) for good quality (e.g. finally good bread, less sugar and healthier products, more REALLY from Switzerland) and keep the brand loyalty joker, people like to stick to the same thing for years. When it's gone, you look for a replacement (we have really great Swiss bread at Lidl, pardon the pun) and that's the final straw in the long run.
@Bodenseeknusperli It wouldn't be the first time that Migros has replaced its own-brand chocolate with third-party products. Remember: years ago, Migros' own chocolate bars (Tresella, Tirolia, Bloxx) and other confectionery were replaced by third-party products. Not all of them were produced by M-Industry, but Frey was also affected at the time. The inclusion of LIndt would fit into the concept. It is true that they keep saying that they want to stick to their own brands and that third-party brands should not make up more than 20% of the range. Nevertheless, new third-party products are constantly being added to the range. By the way: Ten years ago, a promise was made that the proportion of third-party products should not exceed 10%. We also keep hearing that the M-Industry should only produce profitable products. If Lindt is included in the range, Frey will have to produce less for Migros, freeing up capacity for the more lucrative foreign market.
Migros' explanation for the change from Eimalzin to Ovomaltine products was (here in the forum): Migros wants to be innovative! Migros wants to be innovative! In my opinion, the opposite is the case: Migros thus becomes just any store!
