Dear Migros

A somewhat unusual question :) My boyfriend recently ate the cream schnitzel in a Migros restaurant for the first time (he really liked it!) and was totally amazed that half a tinned apricot with whipped cream was served with the cream schnitzel as a topping. That doesn't go with it at all, he asked, how could you come up with such an idea? :) I, on the other hand, don't know any different from the Migros restaurant and have been used to it for years. My question: Is there a particular reason why this is served? Who came up with the idea? And has it always been like this? Kind regards!
