Big Cumulus mail: Migros wants to make huge savings!
In the Cumulus brochure from January 2013, it is announced that the existing sales bonus will be abolished from February 2013. As a "replacement", there will in future be a 2x bonus coupon for purchases of CHF 100 or more and a 5x bonus coupon for purchases of CHF 500 or more. For these coupons you will then receive 2x or 5x as many points on a subsequent purchase.
What a deterioration! Up to now, we have usually exceeded the CHF 1000 turnover in 2 months, which regularly resulted in Cumulus vouchers worth CHF 10 or 15.
However, as we rarely make individual purchases of more than CHF 100 or even CHF 500, we will hardly ever receive bonus coupons, and if we do, the next purchase of CHF 70, for example, will only earn us a paltry 70 centimes more in the form of additional points...
But the worst thing about it all is the hypocritical way in which this deterioration is being foisted on customers. Instead of honestly admitting that they no longer want to pay out as much, the campaign is being run under the grand title:
"New: bonus coupons as an additional thank you". It continues: "Benefit even more now: with the 2x and 5x bonus coupons from Cumulus."
No need for any further comment.
So in future we'll just consider Coop instead of Migros more often, in the Coop newspaper there are regular 5x coupons every 2 to 3 weeks without any minimum purchase or other conditions.
