Since the packaging has changed at Migros Budget Lasagne, the taste has also changed. It no longer tastes as good as before. It's a shame because it was really tasty before.

Which one do you mean?
https://produkte.migros.ch/m-budget-lasagne-alla-bolognese
or
https://produkte.migros.ch/m-budget-lasagne-bolognese-130507900000
?
I just tried the latter for the first time last Friday. The reason for this was that I got it at half price because the use-by date had expired. The reduction in price may be a sign that sales were not as expected.
I liked the lasagne very much, better than all the other lasagnes I had already tried, so also better than thehttps://produkte.migros.ch/m-budget-lasagne-alla-bolognese as it was back then (it's been a while). Even after reheating the second half, it was still excellent.
If it could be even better (previous packaging), I wouldn't complain, of course ?
I also have the feeling that something has changed in the taste of this lasagna... I don't like it any more either. That's why I usually buy the frozen one.
Hello @Selina1996
I'm sorry that you don't like the lasagna as much as before.
This recipe change was necessary because there was a change of supplier for this lasagne. We have been testing the new recipe in the Zurich area for some time. The feedback was very positive.
We will check with the new supplier to see if we can make the lasagne a little spicier.
Kind regards,
Angela
I agree with this question. It also makes me wonder ;-) And who was it from before? And why a change of supplier?
I can still somehow understand the supplier protection issue, but at least the reason for the change of supplier could be stated (although a really honest answer is probably not to be expected here either, but rather a diplomatically claused one).
Today I wanted to buy the M-Budget lasagne again, but unfortunately the only copy in the chiller cabinet... expired since yesterday. When I showed it to an employee, it was confiscated. Are these lasagnes systematically dated for Friday and therefore not suitable for weekend shopping ?
I don't think so, at least I didn't notice that. But maybe the M-Infoline can help better?
Hello @Bodenseeknusperli, the new supplier is now based in Belgium instead of Austria. We do not disclose exact supplier details. We have changed suppliers because we can implement the desired product improvements with them.
Hi @Cinderella1925, no the lasagnas are not systematically marked with a best before date that ends on Friday. Great that you made the sales staff aware of the expired date. It must have been overlooked during the check - which shouldn't happen in general, of course. Best regards, Sina
