Touching fresh produce

Anfassen von Frischware

Hello!

First of all: I am Migroskind❤️! And it will stay that way.

My annoyance: I am often disgusted by people who touch and squeeze fresh fruit and vegetables ...
Among others, there are those who don't look very clean and also "cough" at the fresh produce.
I have been observing such "attacks" for years...

With regard to mandarins, for example, I've got to the point where I'm currently buying the most expensive ones because - as I've noticed - they are the least squeezed?
(No joke and good for business?!)

Is it not possible to provide written instructions, such as: "Please only touch the goods with gloves on!" or an announcement on this subject? I think that the staff should also draw the attention of the people concerned to this grievance, especially in the current time of flu and the like ... I don't understand why this is allowed. Isn't that totally unhygienic?!

I'm aware that my description will make you smile and I admit that I'm more of a fussy sort of person....

Nevertheless, I observe such situations every time I post my greens and it simply disgusts me.

I've wanted to share my misery for years, and now I've done it!

I would be delighted if my request would be considered.
Sincerely, BB

And what about all the apples and pears that are fingered by older people in particular?

I have seen that practically all fruit and vegetables are touched, squeezed, tasted, etc., and not just by older people, but by people of all ages (children, teenagers, adults, senior citizens, etc.). It's the same with the small sandwiches: instead of using tongs, they simply grab everything with their bare hands and preferably put it back again straight away. Simply disgusting and gruesome! I could really puke when I see something like that (whether in Corona times or not).

My opinion: Hands first! Disinfecting when entering the store is mandatory, not optional. Even in times before Covid-19, I unfortunately see that currently around 75% simply walk past the well-placed and filled disinfection stand at the entrance without thoroughly cleaning their hands.

Unfortunately, I've also noticed that nowadays only very few people disinfect their hands, let alone their shopping cart... Disinfecting your hands before entering the store is all well and good, but by the time you get to the self-service area with the bread rolls, for example, you've touched a lot of other goods in the meantime (and they're probably not disinfected), or even the shopping trolley/basket, and that's anything but disinfected if everyone doesn't do it themselves.

i don't know where you shop, but i have never seen dogs in shopping carts and i hardly think that this would be tolerated by the employees or the management.

I've often seen dogs in the shopping carts in my store, and recently one barked for the longest time. But nobody on the staff made a fuss, apparently it's tolerated.

I've also seen this a few times; besides dogs, there are often children sitting in them (usually after they've rolled around on the floor and written)...

However, unlike vegetables and fruit, you can either take bread rolls with tongs or simply touch the bread roll you buy.

As for the dog issue, the ones I see have their little ones in their bags, once there was a person who had him in the shopping cart, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaabut there was a blanket inside that covered everything, what I find worse are children with street shoes running around in the "Ikaufswägali".
