Wouldn't it be possible to declare the allergens in the restaurant? I have to eat a gluten-free diet. As with many allergy sufferers, eating out spontaneously is difficult. Often not even the kitchen staff know what allergens/additives are contained in the menus. If the allergens were declared with a symbol, it would make our lives easier. If, for example, only a salad dressing at the buffet was declared gluten-free, I could go out for a spontaneous meal in a restaurant - which unfortunately isn't usually possible.
