Why is there no longer an advent calendar with the migros promotions?
Hello everyone, unfortunately I bring "bad" news. There will be no Joker calendar this year. Migros has decided to break new ground and no longer offer a Joker calendar. We are aware that we are disappointing customers who would have liked to receive the calendar. However, we want to develop further and are now offering our Cumulus customers the personal offer sheet. The personal coupons are normal Cumulus advantage coupons that are physically distributed via an offer sheet or can be activated directly online via the Migros app. Kind regards, Matteo

The "further development" apparently consists of offering customers coupons for items that they very rarely need or have only bought once, and then foisting them on us as "16 attractive coupons for your favorite items" (quote from Alisha Fateh, Head of Customer Marketing). By "favorite items" I mean things that I buy regularly. But of course, if we were given vouchers for them, it would be really expensive for Migros. Marketing jargon would be better, I'm sure it would go down very well with the customers who are always on the go ;-) After all, one 2x, 5x or 3x voucher per week. Thanks for that, the rest (12 items remain, not 16) are mostly unusable.

I haven't received any such offer sheet in the post, instead I've so far received three "great" coupons in the Migros app that I really can't use. These are all products that I either no longer buy at all or that I've only bought once to try them and then never again (instead of x-fold Cumulus points, I get a 30% discount on these products, for example, and that's supposed to get me into Migros to buy these "I've-got-no-more-buck-for-these-products"). Great offers, the chickens are laughing! Or to say it with John McEnroe: "You cannot be serious!" For me, it's a total customer fuck-up. (sorry for the expression, but what Migros is doing here again is just a walk in the park)

Then I was really lucky! I can use about 3/4 of the personal vouchers 😁 Although a 30% advantage on a cucumber doesn't make the monthly budget any easier, I tell myself. With a 30% coupon for Chiefs Pudding it looks better again 👍 The 5x voucher is of course the highlight! Although I'm usually wary of going into a supermarket just before Christmas as 9/10 customers will overwhelm you with aggression, annoyance and grumbling... 🙈 The atmosphere before the festive season is a disaster. Pure stress...

You're probably a frequent buyer for Migros, and that's why the great coupons are for you ;-) We get coupons all the time for products that we have bought once to try or that we haven't bought for a long time... Of course, you can't get me into Migros that way ;-)
