However, it bothers me that both the strawberries and the cherry tomatoes are not yet in season and therefore come from the greenhouse and sometimes have a long delivery route. In addition, iceberg lettuce is known for its lack of vitamins. Conclusion: A very good project, but poorly implemented.

I have to say something about strawberries:
All those who are shouting about strawberries from Spain should think about where most vegetables currently come from (Italy, Spain...). And whoever says that strawberries are not in season here. That's true! But bananas and kiwis are NEVER in season here. And yet the banana is number 1 on the scales - because it's the best-selling fruit...and nobody complains about it.
Whether the price of a 500g bowl of strawberries is in any relation - questionable!

EU agriculture - and this includes all agricultural products from Spain and Italy - is highly subsidized and these dumping prices also have an impact on Switzerland as long as there is no domestic supply...
In return, we can therefore call ourselves cherry-pickers and contribute our mite with the cohesion billion elsewhere.
This EU agricultural policy is much more worrying than towards Switzerland, especially towards Africa, which is not in a position to defend itself with adequate means against such a ruinous price policy.

Vitamins for CHF 1?
Vitamins that are not even worth CHF 1 and have a very pale aftertaste: Starvation wages for the workers on the plantations, massive water consumption (water is a precious commodity), depleted and possibly poisoned soils, very long transportation routes with a CO2 footprint that makes my hair stand on end, food waste etc. etc.
It seems to me that Migros now "owns" a very large part of Spain. Whether organic or conventional vegetables or fruit: Spain, Spain, Spain. "Italy" is already in the minority here.
I find it very worrying ... and Migros talks its way out of it and comments with Generation M and "Abers..." and so on. Migros supports the overexploitation of our planet under the guise of "consumer wishes". Migros is not short of money, which makes the whole argument even more hypocritical.
I don't expect a counter-argument from the Migipedia admin group. Cognitive dissonance rules the world. I've heard too much, seen too much, experienced too much in the last few years. Nothing will change, the concealment and embellishment of unpleasant facts will increase.
If I were Migros, I would listen to concerned consumers, invite them to talks and work with them to find solutions. And not argue with those consumers who are lost in thought as they do their daily shopping and fill their shopping trolleys or baskets like lemmings.
I'm going to visit my favorite farmers again today and buy what's actually in season. It probably won't be strawberries. I'll still get my vitamins. I also doubt that there are many vitamins in the strawberries on promotion....

She really didn't do Migros any favors with this appearance.

Kassensturz often accuses Migros of being much more expensive than other countries. But once they are, Kassensturz and many people don't like it.
I wish that Switzerland and its people would become really poor and get off their high horse.
