I assume the litter is compostable? I didn't find anything on the bag.
Hello Mdms, thank you for your inquiry. No, the litter is not compostable. This is prohibited by law, as the solid cat excrement can transmit worms or toxoplasmosis and people can come into direct contact with it. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

The litter is dark and small again. Also massively more expensive. I bought this last pack around mid-December 2022, am very dissatisfied with this quality after it was good again for a while. This dark, small litter is nowhere near as good at clumping, turns my cat's paws yellow and is much, much dustier. So much so that I also get asthma. One cat also sneezes all the time. The whole room is much dustier (contrary to the answer from M-Infoline that the litter is low-dust. It can't possibly be the same composition!) It may even be that the second cat got skin rashes, because they went away again after the quality changed back to the old one. I didn't find the Fatto Öko recommended below satisfactory either, but will test it again. If the quality doesn't come back, I'll probably have to look elsewhere. Thank you for an update. I agree with dominiquef from below: the quality is simply changed without ever informing the customers, apparently as it pleases. This affects some products, which are simply getting worse and more expensive.
Hello SuBoBa, thank you for your feedback. We are sorry, the article no longer corresponds to the desired quality. Our specialist department has informed us that no adjustments have been made. However, the litter is a natural product, so there can be natural fluctuations. Please let us know the lot number for further clarification and, if possible, send us photos of the product. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
Dear M-Infoline team, thank you for your feedback. Somehow it really can't be that no adjustments have been made. I am aware that it is a natural product, but how can it be that it was the same and very good for years and suddenly not anymore. The LOT number (I don't know if this is the right one, if not, please let me know where I can find it) is: 2832221:00. I found an old bag of it in the attic. I can't remember exactly when I bought them, but I've attached a photo of the old and new ones for comparison. It is clearly visible that the current quality is smaller and dustier. The first people in my circle of acquaintances are also turning away from this litter. Thank you again for your feedback. Kind regards, SuBoBa
Hello SuBoBa, thank you for your feedback on Fatto Forest. As already noted in a previous message, the "old" supplier was bought out some time ago, so the processing procedures have changed slightly under the new management. However, the composition is basically the same. We have now had retained samples checked again and have not found any deviations. The only possible cause is therefore the natural fluctuations already mentioned. However, we will certainly keep an eye on the issue together with the manufacturer. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Litter looks different again. Still small, now lighter again. What exactly has been changed again? Has Migros ever given an explanation as to why the cooperation with the really good supplier was terminated? And another question: Why don't you inform your people in the stores? Or why don't you proactively inform us customers about your changes? Or FINALLY sell the product cheaper until the quality is right again? We buyers would all benefit from a refund. Especially those who support your quality assurance free of charge with their feedback. It cannot and must not be that our cats have had to endure months of trials, at full price and always with new surprises. Incidentally, one of my cats probably developed asthma because of the immense dust. You take no responsibility.
Hello dominiquef, thank you for your message about the "Fatto Forest" cat litter. We are sorry that you have noticed changes in the quality of the last packs. The supplier in question has been bought out, so the manufacturing processes have changed slightly under the new management. However, the composition is basically the same. In some cases, however, quality deviations can be detected. In our tests, the quality was within the defined specifications. However, we are in close contact with the supplier and are trying to optimize the formation of lumps. With regard to the asthma issue, we can report that this litter is low in dust. Various factors are conceivable as triggers for asthma. We are not aware of any similar cases in which such a disease could be attributed to this product. As an alternative to Fatto Forest, we can recommend the sustainable Fatto Öko cat litter. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
I would like to chime in here briefly - the last three bags I bought were all top quality. I'm very happy about that and hope it stays that way.
Hello The quality is now good again. Thank you for that.

Dear Migros You have been promising improvements for almost a year now. Well, the litter is clumping again to some extent, but not like it did until the beginning of 2021. What's more, the litter is now extremely dusty and leaves a disgusting film after washing the litter trays. It becomes really slimy when mixed with water. Honestly, the quality is not worth more than CHF 3 and the only thing that has remained since the problems started is the price of over CHF 8. I understand that a company is always tweaking its products to become more efficient and profitable. But as far as this litter is concerned, you are simply offering customers a cheeky rip-off and have been doing so for almost a year. Too bad for the customer as a buyer and the Büsis as end customers. A top product has been turned into a literal shit product. Perhaps it's time to really think about switching back to the old manufacturer and recipe and offering customers and Büsis the quality that the price promises. And now, "hello"! More than warm words have not yet been seen in this odyssey.
Hello savulter, thank you for your message. We are sorry, the cat sand is still not of the desired quality. We are already aware of the problem and are in the process of finding a solution. Unfortunately, we are currently unable to say when you can expect the usual quality again. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello, I have been using this litter ever since it was introduced and have been completely satisfied with it over the years. I have accepted the deterioration in quality over the past few months without grumbling, but now it's really becoming extremely tedious: the litter is so dark that, depending on the color and consistency of the cat's excrement, I can't even see the droppings any more ( my cats rarely 'stink', as they are mainly fed raw meat, so that doesn't help in the 'search for clues' either).
The litter also has a strange, slightly chemical smell of its own, whereas previously the smell of fir wood was really perceptible, similar to fresh sawdust. Will Migros do something about this or will it just stay that way? Thank you very much for your (hopefully reliable and reasonably meaningful) feedback. :-)
Hello beah1965, thank you for your message. We are aware of the problems you have described and have already received further complaints. We hope to find a solution as soon as possible, but unfortunately we cannot give you an exact date. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
Dear Infoline team I would like to thank you very much for taking this problem seriously and I have every confidence that my four furry paws will soon be able to do their 'business' again without coughing up dust. Kind regards from a convinced Migros child 😉
judihui!!! it's done: the litter has reached its full quality again, for which I would like to thank migros most sincerely. thank you, with kind regards and great joy 🙏
Hello beah1965, thank you very much for your contribution. We are delighted that the quality has won you over again! We are happy to pass on the compliment to the specialist department. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

The problem has been known for 4 months now. Nothing has been changed. They still charge this horrendous price for half the quality. I am dependent on this litter because otherwise the whole apartment is full of pee. But Migros doesn't seem to care. They'd rather put customers off and keep collecting money than talk to the manufacturer about the problem and possibly get tips from the old manufacturer. Absolutely weak Migros. The only thing that is happening at full speed is the sucking out of customers' wallets. Finding a solution is at best a mere breeze.
Hello savulter, thank you for your new contribution. We can assure you that the quality of our products is also very important to us. We have made clarifications with the new manufacturer. We also compared the Fatto with the previous product. We were able to see that lumps were forming. However, these clumps are not quite as firm as with a conventional cat litter. However, the quality of the product is identical to its predecessor. We have informed the manufacturer again about your feedback and asked him to carry out the checks professionally at all times. Your satisfaction is important to us. If you still have a sample of the cat litter that you are not satisfied with, you are welcome to inform our experts using our contact form. They will then be happy to check your sample. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Migros doesn't react to negative comments about the product... will they question themselves and go back on quality... customers are cash cows...!
Hello perrit, thank you for your message. We are well aware of the negative comments and take them very seriously. This is why we are in close contact with the manufacturer and regularly test corresponding samples. So far, these samples have always met our requirements. Nevertheless, we will keep a close eye on this problem. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Can I put Fatto Forest in the green waste for biogas production?
Hello Stolli, thank you for your inquiry. The product consists of 100% natural wood fibers and a clumping agent, which is also a purely plant-based ingredient. The litter is therefore biodegradable and compostable. However, cat excrement can transmit diseases such as toxoplasmosis, which can be particularly dangerous for older people and pregnant women. For this and other hygienic reasons, it is forbidden in many municipalities in Switzerland to dispose of cat litter in the green container. However, these regulations vary from municipality to municipality. And for all these reasons, unlike many other manufacturers, we do not dispense it. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

@Migros: When will this litter be brought back to the old quality standard? For the current quality, the price is simply exorbitant.
Hello savulter, thank you for your message. As you can see from our article below, there has been a change of supplier. It is of course not in our interest that there is currently a loss of quality. We have passed on your comments to our manufacturer and asked him to take the necessary measures. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
Is there no concrete information on if and when the new supplier will make adjustments and if the adjustments will actually bring back the old quality, or when the improved formula will be in circulation? Like many others here, I don't intend to spend 8 bucks on cat litter that will be worth about the same as what the cat puts in it.
This is exactly my question. Like many others, I want the old quality standard. Anyone who knows anything about cats knows that you can't simply switch to a different litter without peeing all over the apartment. So Migros, when will they act?
Hello savulter and smittenmitten, thank you for your feedback. We are currently working hard on improvements. But we can't give you any more details yet. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

That was the best cat litter! Unfortunately it is no longer as good. The litter sticks to the litter tray and no longer clumps, which is a shame.
Hello Anita70, thank you very much for your message. How nice that we were able to inspire you with the product. We are all the more sorry that this is no longer the case. There has been a change of supplier for the cat litter. In order to avoid discrepancies such as those you describe in future, we are reviewing the manufacturing process and keeping a closer eye on the issue. We hope you will give our Forest another chance. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
