Does this foie gras come from force-feeding ducks (food is forced down the ducks' throats and into their stomachs, several times a day)? This method is prohibited in Switzerland (and in most European countries), as it violates basic animal protection laws and principles.
Hello
Many thanks for your message.
Raw goose liver is on sale during the Christmas and New Year period in the cantons of Geneva, Vaud, Neuchâtel, Fribourg, Valais and Ticino.
We import foie from France under the "Delpeyrat" and "Laabeyrie" brand names. Our producers are obliged to comply with Migros' strict regulations. Veterinarians are on hand to ensure the animals' well-being. The Swiss Quality Testing Service carries out regular checks.
We hope you find this information useful and wish you a pleasant day.
See you soon at Migros!
Best regards Your M-Infoline team
