Good, sturdy bed. Easy to assemble and very attractive.
A nice, sturdy bed, exactly as I'd hoped. However, during assembly, one slat had not been pre-drilled for the screw and other slats split during screwing. So the bed frame is fine, but the "box spring" with its slats could be improved.
The bed looks good and feels solid. However, the assembly was full of twists and turns, with a screw thread that wasn't quite right (the screw didn't fit), slats on which the **** for the screw hadn't been pre-drilled or others where the pre-drilled **** was in a knot in the wood (the slat split in two as I screwed it to the bed frame).
In case you've damaged one, the small assembly parts are available for the modest sum of 4 francs each (including the wooden pegs) and must be picked up in a Micasa store (no home delivery); at I**A, they're available free of charge and delivered to your home. In short, everything's great as long as you don't have any trouble assembling it.
The only drawback for very small children. They can bump their heads on the wooden beams. It would be great if there was an optional foam protection or something ;-)
Very happy with this purchase which has changed our nights! :-)
Ingenious!
