That's why only the German designation "Fleischkäse" and the French "Fromage d'Italie" are used. This product may not be known in Italy, but it is nevertheless on sale in the canton of Ticino. Hello dorisiavelli, Fleischkäse / Cheese from Italy / Leberkäs in Bavaria. In some parts of Germany and Austria, it's also called Leberkäse, but it actually contains a certain proportion of liver. In Switzerland, liver is sometimes mixed with sausage meat. In Ticino, Italian cheese is known only by its German name. It is sold there as a Swiss-German speciality. Best regards Frederica
