I've bought the cake several times and thought that I'd come across spoiled products as it had a bad taste and a strange consistency. Reading the comments I realize that you've changed the recipe, which is really bad, and the cake, as I noticed, is inedible. Why don't you listen to your customers' opinions and persist in your mistake ?????😤😤😤😠

You can see how much Migros values customer feedback legt🤷🏼♀️ What a shame, I haven't bought a Financiers or Tiroler Cake for 2 years. I now buy them at the Coop.

Hello Orsogrizzly, thank you for your feedback. At the beginning of October 2020, we decided to make several adjustments. On the one hand, we have since been using only natural ingredients to reduce the proportion of additives in the food. Secondly, we have replaced palm oil with rapeseed oil. This decision was taken in response to repeated requests from our customers.
It's certainly not our intention that this version shouldn't taste as good to you. In fact, we face the following challenge: palm oil generally contributes to a more harmonious taste experience, but it doesn't have a good reputation. It's this latter point that we wanted to take into account in order to meet our customers' preferences.
We have of course informed all the sectors involved of your proposal to revert to the previous variant. We may be able to make the cake look more like your favorite in the next revision. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Why did you change the recipe for Finanziera?
Hi Jack1930, we thank you for your question. The change in the recipe came about due to high customer demand for palm oil-free baked goods. Best regards, Your M-Infoline Team

When will the good old financier cake be available again?

Hello Conaffetto, thank you for your question. There are currently no plans to adjust the recipe again. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

I don't understand that. The recipe was adjusted and since then the negative reviews have been piling up. So why isn't the recipe adjusted again?

Hello Magnoliapower, thank you very much for your feedback. We carried out various tests and tastings when revising the recipe. The new recipe performed better in all respects. However, we will certainly keep an eye on the experiences of our valued customers with Grosis Financier Cake. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

According to M-Infoline, the worst rated cake is the better one. It is simply a customer request that the cakes are not so good, so that it is easier to keep an eye on the line (some of the reviewers threw the cake away or fed it to the birds). It is also interesting that no explanation is given for the very good ratings or it is only said that the cake is very good. A rogue who thinks that.

This fits exactly with the answer from yesterday when Migros wanted to explain that they pay attention to reviews and improve the product if necessary 🤣 because they don't do that.

Why does it no longer taste good? Would it be possible to produce the traditional recipe again?

Hello mmimholz, thank you very much for your feedback. We adjusted the recipe last fall. We're sorry that you don't like the new cake recipe. We will be happy to inform our specialist department of your request. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Financier Cake. Too bad, once again an improved recipe for the worse. Where is the taste of bitter almonds ? Where are the fine, coarsest almond flakes? Where is the fine crunchiness ? What's with this oily, greasy, unbaked mass ?

Hello hmschwarz, thank you for your feedback on Grosis Financier Cake. We are very sorry that you no longer like the product. The specialist department has informed us that we adjusted the recipe in fall 2020. The aim of this adjustment was to improve the freshness of the cake, which on the other hand has an impact on the consistency of the cake. The subsequent tastings were very positive, which further underpinned the decision to make the change. We will of course keep an eye on the issue so that we can consider adjustments if necessary. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Dear Migros So many bad reviews for one cake. It's a shame that the recipe has been tinkered with. I often stand in front of the cake rack and feel like buying a Financier or a Tyrolean cake. And I always pull my hand back with the thought: What a shame, it's not as good as it used to be. Do you plan to do anything? Perhaps change the recipe again?

Hello Moneypenni, thank you for your message. Our cake specialist will taste the cake and compare it with the old recipe. However, we can't make any promises at the moment. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello, this cake has not been edible for several weeks. The cakes are not baked properly and the base is as wet as if the cake had been placed in water. I have bought several cakes in several stores and the same everywhere. What is the problem? Has something been changed in production? Why are the cakes being sold in this condition? Does Migros have no internal quality control? As you can see from the product reviews, various other customers have also experienced the same problem. Thank you in advance for your reply.

Completely true. Much too sweet, actually only sugar flavor, is even the taste test now outsourced abroad? I threw it in the compost. Really inedible, I'm still sorry that I bought it with friends.

Hello Tyler91, thank you for your message. We are very sorry that the Financier Cake did not meet your expectations. The recipe has indeed been adapted. Among other things, the freshness has been improved (moisture), which has an impact on the consistency of the product. The new recipe was tested as part of a Sensonplus survey and was rated significantly better in terms of moisture and overall impression. As an immediate measure, our specialist department will check the degree of baking and adjust it if necessary. We apologize for the incident and are very grateful for your feedback. We hope you can enjoy the cake again soon. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

The cake is never available in the 8222 Beringen branch and the staff don't even know the product. Unfortunately, it is usually sold out at the 8200 Schaffhausen branch, so you have to be lucky to get hold of one. We think that's a shame. Why doesn't Beringen get this product, but has several chocolate cakes in its range?
Beringen is a small branch with limited space - for this reason, the entire range of cakes is not available there. If the cake is not available in Schaffhausen again, please contact the staff in the bakery department. your M-Infoline team
