How big are the "grains"? (A window to view the contents would be helpful...)

Is the cat litter compostable?

Edited

Hello simee, thank you for your inquiry about cat litter. The Fatto Silica is not compostable. Basically, the following should be noted with cat litter: Cat faeces can transmit diseases such as toxoplasmosis, which can be particularly dangerous for older people and pregnant women. For this and other hygiene reasons, it is forbidden in many municipalities in Switzerland to dispose of cat litter in the green waste container. However, these regulations vary from municipality to municipality. And for these reasons, unlike many other manufacturers, we do not dispose of it, but if you have a private compost, it is of course up to you to dispose of compostable litter in it. How quickly the product decomposes depends on the moisture and temperature in the compost. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
