Is it true that Migros now only sells seasoned creamed spinach or chopped spinach? Apart from spinach leaves, I couldn't find any unseasoned spinach products. That would be a great pity and I would have to switch to the competition...

Hello Aannaa, Farmer's Best IP-SUISSE chopped spinach does not contain any gluten-containing ingredients, nor should any carry-over be expected. If a product contains gluten-containing ingredients, this must be openly declared, stating the gluten-containing cereals (wheat, spelt, rye, barley, etc.). In addition, gluten-containing ingredients must be highlighted in the list of ingredients, for example in bold print or with capital letters (examples: wheat starch, WHEAT flour). Traces due to possible carry-over in the manufacturing process must be indicated at the end of the list of ingredients with a "may contain" note ("may contain gluten" or "may contain traces of gluten"). Why has the M-Budget spinach been removed from the range?

For this reason, we decided to effectively discontinue this spinach from our range. The space on our shelves is limited, so we have to make a certain selection. Dear Migros, I have noticed that the same 500g pack always tastes very funny, is lumpy and does not bind at all with the cream (I always add the cream myself). I have never had any problems with the 800g pack and it always tasted good. Why is the quality of the 500g minced spinach sooo bad and the 800g is always good? It is the same brand, only the gram ratios are different. I was able to throw away two packs because it just didn't taste good at all. Very strangely lumpy.

This ensures optimum adhesion and distribution of the seasoning. Oil is also a flavor carrier and gives the spinach a well-rounded taste. However, the 500 g version is a natural minced spinach. I really like this product. It is quick to prepare and tastes good. However, I don't understand why rapeseed oil and starch have to be added to the spinach. Why can't the minced spinach just be natural, like the frozen leaf spinach, also from Farmers Best? Thank you for your answer

Farmer's Best Minced Spinach 800 g is a seasoned ready-to-eat product. Rapeseed oil, starch and the spice mix are mixed and added to the spinach.
