It's unbelievable that Migros offers such a product! Strict controls or not, it is impossible to offer foie gras without cruelty to animals. This makes your entire Generation M campaign implausible. A big fie!

Guest
I absolutely agree! And we should also ban all predators in the world, because they also torture other animals.

Guest
Meat consumption should be banned as a matter of principle, not just foie gras. This is the only way to ensure the long-term survival of humanity. We should finally stop exploiting nature!

Guest
And war should also be banned.
Hello,
We have received your message and would like to thank you for giving us the opportunity to express our views on this subject.
Like many other retailers in Switzerland, Migros sells foie gras in the cantons of Geneva, Vaud, Neuchâtel, Fribourg and Valais, as well as in Ticino. The foie gras is exclusively duck foie gras.
Migros' suppliers are French and deliver under the "Delpeyrat" and "Labeyrie" brand names. Producers are bound by strict Migros specifications, drawn up in consultation with veterinary specialists and favoring the best possible treatment of the animals. These specifications, which are designed to improve the welfare of the ducks, are regularly checked by the Swiss Quality Testing Service laboratory.
In the light of the above, we hope that we have not only demonstrated our concern to offer a product that meets consumer demand, but also reassured you of the rigor and monitoring of farming conditions that our cooperatives put in place.
We thank you for the interest and confidence you have shown in our brand.
With our best regards.

Aren't there any geese that gain weight naturally before they get to the butcher? So if Migros wants to sell goose liver, it could only offer goose liver from happy geese. If the price is high enough, the demand will not be so great.

In its latest issue (p. 12), the Foundation for Animal Welfare and Ethics once again points out that Migros is still selling foie gras. Now, just before Christmas, this issue is becoming very topical again. When will action finally follow? When will Migros finally take these products d e f i n i t i v e l y out of its range? There is no excuse for this!
Migros develops products in response to consumer demand. Why shouldn't it also be possible to remove a product from the range at the request of many "Migipedias"?
Hi Ragusa!

Foie gras is left in the range because customers in some regions ask for it? Because it sells well? Dear Migros, you don't sell alcohol for moral and image reasons - but then you certainly don't sell an animal cruelty nonsense product either!!! Please!
Hello kassezettel
Thank you for your comment.
As already written below, Migros, like many other retailers in Switzerland, sells foie gras in the cantons of Geneva, Vaud, Neuchâtel, Fribourg, Valais and Ticino shortly before the festive season. This is exclusively foie gras from ducks.
Our suppliers from France provide us with the goods from the companies Delpeyrat and Labeyrie. The producers are obliged to comply with the strict regulations laid down by Migros with regard to good animal husbandry. These specifications have been drawn up in collaboration with veterinarians. This specification, which is constantly evolving in favor of the well-being of the ducks, is regularly checked by the Swiss Quality Testing Service laboratory.
Strict rules are imposed on livestock farmers and strict controls are also carried out.
Migros wishes you a good rest of the week.
Kind regards from the M-Infoline team

A product like this does not belong in the Migros range!!!
It doesn't belong in any product range. It should be banned.

...I am at most a sponsor of the poor animals and certainly NOT of this product!
Hello divbal,
I detest foie gras just as much as frogs' legs, which unfortunately are eaten in French-speaking Switzerland.

If you don't want to be a product sponsor, proceed as follows:
- Select your profile or http://www.migipedia.ch/de/user/divbal
- Click on product sponsorships or http://www.migipedia.ch/de/user/21053/productpate
- Then click on "Delete product sponsorship" for the product. It's easy for you, as only one item is listed.
Greetings Istanbul
Hello divbal
Foie gras is only sold in French-speaking Switzerland. We have therefore forwarded your request to the Migros Cooperative Geneva.
Best regards
Your M-Infoline team

Guest
