Hello
I had to make a cake for a birthday today and bought three packs of Qimiq at Migros on December 23, 2024. Unfortunately, they are all totally liquid, as the others have already described, so I can't make a cake with them. But they also taste sour, almost like sour milk. The best-before date on all 3 packs is 14.10.2025.
Is there no compensation for this?
Kind regards
Gabriela

Hi GTH, thank you very much for your request. Unfortunately, the texture is indeed more fluid than it should be. We apologize for the inconvenience caused. The appropriate measures have already been initiated. We are also removing the production series with the best-before date 14.10.2025 from the shelves. Customers may return products of unsatisfactory quality to the store. They will then receive a replacement or a refund for the goods. Otherwise, it is advisable to contact the responsible team directly using the form - ideally you should enclose a receipt. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello, I also bought 2 packs of Qimiq with the best before date 14.10.2025 in Migros Langendorf and both were also liquid. The cake I made with it, which I have made many times before, unfortunately did not set either.

Qimiq liquid in pack

Hello, as Larel also wrote, I bought 2 packs of Qimiq before Christmas, on 19.12.24
bought 2 packs of Qimiq. I used them yesterday and they were both liquid in the packet.
Unfortunately, the Qimiq berry tart I made with them only turned out semi-solid.
I often use Qimiq and also the berry tart, I have made it many times, suspect that something is not quite as it should be....

Hello Glizerli, thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you had the same problem as Larel. Could you also tell us the best-before date? Best regards, your M-Infoline team

MDH: 14.10.25 I don't see a lot number either. I bought the product at Migros Sarnen.

Hello Glizerli, thank you very much for your feedback. Larel and you have indeed discovered a discrepancy! When testing samples from the production series you specified, we also came across a thinner texture than usual, which should not be the case. We apologize for the inconvenience. Because it is difficult to use in this way, we are removing the production series with the best-before date 14.10.2025 from the shelves. We hope you will give our Qimiq semi-cream another chance to convince you of its proven consistency. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Good day
I bought Qimiq on 24.12.24, (in Voi Jegenstorf) this was also liquid... as with another customer...
Super! I am now very curious whether my dessert will still be thick...

Hello Larel, thank you very much for your message. So that we can follow this up, please let us know the best-before date and the lot number (starts with L and consists of letters and numbers). Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Best before date 14.10.25
I can't find any lot numbers... especially no number beginning with L...?!
There is a no. at the bottom in which an L appears, but not as the first one...

By the way, I bought 2 pieces and both are gone... so liquid

I also have 2 packs of Larel and both are liquid.

Hello Larel, thank you very much for your feedback. As promised, we have made further enquiries with the relevant specialist department. When testing samples from the production series you mentioned, we also found a thinner texture than usual. This should not be the case. We apologize for the circumstances. Because it is impossible to use the product in this way, we are removing the production series with the best-before date 14.10.2025 from the shelves. We hope you will give our Qimiq semi-cream another chance to convince you of its proven consistency. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

It says edible gelatine in the ingredients. Is it from pork or beef? The one from Emmi says beef gelatine.

Hello Anita70, Emmi Qimiq half cream UHT contains bovine gelatine. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello, As I have an intolerance to dairy products, I wanted to know what Qimiq is. So I went to this site and unfortunately for me Qimiq IS a dairy product. On the other hand I came across a funny thing! Here 7 years ago you were saying here in this forum that the gelatin used in Qimiq was of PORK origin, whereas in your Migusto of December 2018 you say Of high quality Beef origin!!! Has anything changed in recent years?

Hello Cms013 and thank you for your request. We have discussed your request with the relevant department. They have informed us that beef gelatin has been used for the past five and a half years. With best regards, your M-Infoline team

What does it mean when Qimiq is liquid, can it be used or is it bad? Will it solidify later?

Hello guest
Thank you for your comment about the QimiQ classic 2.5dl.
Unfortunately, we have already received similar feedback that the QimiQ was liquid instead of thickened. Based on the production traceability, we have established that the cooling of the products that go to Migros sales outlets does not work properly. The QimiQ products for Migros are repackaged after production. This prevents the packs from cooling and hardening completely.
We therefore ask you not to use the QimiQ.
We have adapted the repackaging process so that this problem no longer occurs. Since last week, the QimiQ products have been cooled for three days after filling and only then repacked. We are convinced that the problem has been solved and that such quality deviations will no longer occur in future.
We apologize for the incident and for any inconvenience caused.
We are here for you if you have any further questions.
Best regards from the M-Infoline team

why so expensive?????????????

Hello guest
Thank you for your interest.
We always strive to negotiate the best prices for our consumers. Qimiq is a product that has no comparable "competitor product". As Qimiq can be used to replace many products - such as mascarpone - it is also based on these prices.
Your satisfaction is important to us! Your M-Infoline Team

I agree with lachsfresser's statement.
I would be interested to know where the ingredients come from. Unfortunately I can't find it anywhere and Mr. google didn't help me either.
Thank you for an answer.

Hello guest,
... even googling has to be learned! :-) Copernic found what you were looking for!
Please read the product description.
Greetings Istanbul .

Dear guest
Thank you for your interest in this product!
The Qimik comes from our supplier Emmi. The product is made in Switzerland from 100% Swiss semi-skimmed cream. The product also contains edible gelatine, which comes from pigs.
We hope that we can help you with this information and that we can welcome you back to Migros soon! Your M-Infoline Team
