I have connected two of them in series and connected them with profile connectors. Despite this, my curtain rings keep getting stuck in the gap between the rails where they come together when I try to open or close my curtains. What can I do to smooth out the gap and prevent the hooks from getting stuck?

Unfortunately, when connecting two curtain tracks, there may be a small gap that cannot be completely smoothed out, especially with heavier curtains.
We recommend making sure that the curtain rings are evenly distributed and that the weight is evenly distributed to facilitate movement.

Grüezi I bought the "Duo Plus Maxi reversible profile 240cm perforated" from Obi and have now noticed that the rails have no cut-outs. So I can only slide the curtains in sideways. This is not good, because I want to run the profiles from wall to wall. Question: Is it possible to have/order these profiles from Micasa with cut-outs on one side? Many thanks
