Good day. Nowadays, I'm amazed at how every banana (Demeter) or sometimes other fruit (even individual apple varieties, e.g. Pink Lady) has to be individually labeled with an adhesive label. I find this unnecessary and also visually unattractive, even as a non-activist or other non-extreme world savior. That's what my common sense tells me. The fruit is sufficiently labeled at the point of sale! What added value does a fruit that is individually labeled have? Does it taste even better then? 🤷♀️ Greetings P.B.

That's exactly the reason. Organic fruit and vegetables also have to be packaged separately.

The use of stickers also has advantages for you: as fruit and vegetables are increasingly available without packaging, the stickers provide information about the origin and variety. Sometimes they also provide space for the EAN code. In the case of organic products, we are obliged by regulations to make a precise distinction in order to avoid confusion with conventionally produced fruit and vegetables.
