Looks totally unappetizing 2 - 3 days after opening. It didn't used to be like this. What has been changed?

Hello wtell, thank you for your tip and the photos. We are sorry that you noticed a build-up of water.
We carried out tests and simulated temperature fluctuations. We were able to reproduce the slight "sweating" after using the margarine several times. This means that the emulsion is not stable enough and the water tends to "sweat". Basically, this is only a slight structural change, which is mainly visible visually. However, it has no effect whatsoever on the palatability of the product - consumption is absolutely safe. Natural fluctuations in the raw materials used or storage in an incorrectly set refrigerator (too warm or too cold) can lead to this phenomenon. We recommend keeping the semi-skimmed margarine refrigerated at max. +5 °C. The department concerned will temporarily monitor the upcoming production batches with additional laboratory analyses and, if necessary, initiate measures. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Why does Migros not comment on the negative reviews of Delice margarine?

Hello elsauerin1952, thank you for your comment. We carried out the clarifications for this product. Our supplier checked the articles from the same production. He was also able to detect a slight leakage of water. Based on this result, the responsible persons carried out further tests. Among other things, they simulated temperature fluctuations. Thank you for your opinion, which neither convinces nor satisfies me. I will consume a competitor's product in future.

Can they also be used for baking?

I use them for everything. I also freeze them.

Hello Lilli80, thank you for your inquiry. In principle, Délice half-fat margarine can be used for baking. However, the recipes must be adapted accordingly, as it only has 40% fat. For a sponge cake recipe, the fat does not play a major role. For a shortcrust pastry, however, you need the fat to make a homogeneous dough. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Can the margarine be used to bake a cake? i am confused because it says that it is not suitable for freezing and frying

Hello Elfeli83, thank you for your question. In principle, you can bake the Délice half-fat margarine. Please note that the fat ratio does not correspond to a conventional margarine (e.g. Sanissa). It may therefore have a slight effect on the baking result. A cake and sponge cake can be prepared without any problems. There may be difficulties with shortcrust pastry. Due to the higher water content, we recommend that you do not freeze the Délice. This is because there is a risk of the margarine "separating" when defrosting. Kind regards, your M-Infoline team
