Namibia is indicated on the current packaging. Were these dates actually harvested from Namibia or merely imported from there (e.g. packaged)? If so, can you explain in more detail in which region the Medjool date plantations are located? Can you assure me that this product does not come from Israel? MfG Fairuser

Dear Migros, these dates mostly come from Israel: A few years ago, there was a discussion about Israeli dates, some of which came from the West Bank, i.e. the Palestinian territory annexed by Israel in violation of international law, and were grown by Palestinian workers who were paid far below the minimum wage in Israel.
