Hello LuLoMa, thank you for your message. We regret that the quality and price of the pur beurre croissants are cause for complaint.

The prices of raw materials, packaging materials and energy are currently rising in many parts of the world, including Switzerland. The main reasons for this are a global shortage of certain raw materials and problems in the supply chains. Both factors are related to the effects and after-effects of the coronavirus pandemic and the war in Ukraine. As a result, we can no longer bear the costs ourselves and are passing them on to our customers in the form of a price increase. Of course, we are constantly monitoring the market situation. If the circumstances allow, we will make the necessary adjustments.

Our supplier has not yet received any further feedback on quality and has not been able to identify any deviations. We are sorry that the croissants are often baked too dark and we apologize for this.the croissants are delivered to the stores frozen and baked on site. The specialist advisor will visit Migros Oberriet to check the baking process. However, the size of the croissants has not changed.

We very much hope that you will be satisfied with the quality of the croissants pur beurre again in the future and wish you a pleasant afternoon. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

The higher price is certainly justified when you consider that the baker in the village charges 1.60. The differences in baking quality are due to the baking program. This is programmed for several trays. If you only bake one tray, they get too much heat. Furthermore, the flour quality always varies a little, which can influence the baking behavior despite the addition of wheat gluten and emulsifiers.
