Dear Migros Why does the product have to come from the Netherlands? Is it not possible to have the product manufactured by Migros Industry JOWA? This would also guarantee jobs in Switzerland. Sustainability looks different to us. A product made with palm oil and cream is carted from far away and has to be cooled with a lot of energy during transportation.
Hello isa1965, thank you for your contribution. This particular product is sourced entirely from the Netherlands and is handled by FFB logistics. When developing this product, the focus was on enjoyment and an attractive price. Unfortunately, we were therefore unable to launch a Swissness product in this case.
Migros is committed to sustainability and we always strive to produce our products as regionally as possible. However, the balancing act between a reasonably priced range and Swissness products is always a major challenge for our product range. Sometimes, as in this case, this stands in the way of more sustainable production.
We always try to cover different customer needs with our product ranges, and this sometimes requires compromises. We know that this is not ideal and we are constantly working to improve our processes and find more sustainable solutions.

Why does everything always have to come from Switzerland? Switzerland certainly doesn't always produce the best of everything. When I look at the rest of the products in the Patteserie department at Migros, 95% are made in Switzerland.
The two discounters are sometimes not criticized with these claims, but Migros or Coop are always compared with these two. Dear Migros 4.50 I personally do not find an attractive price. Under 4 would still be acceptable.
