Cornatur Grill Ribs vegan In your stores in Kreuzlingen and Tägerwilen, I was told for the second year that this product is a seasonal item. We use the barbecue ribs almost exclusively in the pan. Now you've already got a few items that have been awarded and then something like this. A bratwurst or a steak aren't seasonal items either. I'd like you to understand - or rather correct the mistake and stock the shelves. Best regards Eckbert Bohner, Hafenstrasse 30, 8280 Kreuzlingen.
Hello Eckmig, thank you for your post. We stock seasonal items in almost all areas, simply to give the range a bit of variety. So in winter you'll find typical winter items and in summer you'll find something that suits the summer. Seasonal items should be something "special" and are therefore not on the shelves all year round. Of course, the standard range will remain the same - you will also find vegan Cornatur products in winter. We hope you understand and wish you a good start to the week. Best wishes, your M-Infoline team

Dear M-Infoline I have a question for the general public: What does "currently limited availability" mean? Because if you search via availability, you get the answer: "No store with the product you are looking for found". It is then not limited but not available at all! Best regards Istanbul
Hello Istanbul Thank you for your contribution. You will have to wait until next barbecue season for the Cornatur Grill Rips. This is a seasonal product that we only stock during the summer months. That's why it's displayed in the product availability section. Have a nice day and best regards from the M-Infoline team.

Hello MigiPediaTeam,
We have tried the vegan barbecue ribs and are delighted! However, we bought them in a Migros in Aargau and we live in Basel.
Is there any way to find out where to get them? I have searched on Migros and here but there is no "in which store can I get these grill ribs" finder.
Thank you very much!
Hello guest
We are delighted that you like these barbecue ribs so much. They are available in various Migros branches in the Basel cooperative. We need to know where you live so that we can recommend a branch.
We look forward to hearing from you and wish you a wonderful summer's day.
Best regards from the M-Infoline team

It's a real shame that only the vegan version is still available. The Quorn Grill Ribs were really a lot better. Unfortunately, the vegan version reminds me more of cardboard than barbecue ribs. I had actually hoped I would get used to the new taste, but today I put the pack back on the rack. Please take the old version back into the range. The new one doesn't have to disappear.
Hello KKGbit
Thank you for your comment.
We don't always manage to cater to everyone's tastes.
We have forwarded your input to the relevant specialist department. They will consider your suggestion during the next product range analysis.
We wish you a sunny week .
Best regards from the M-Infoline team

The packaging says that the product should only be eaten fully cooked. Why is that the case?
The ribs are already pre-cooked and I always eat tofu/ seitan raw.
In "Questions and answers about Cornatur", the following answer is given to the question "Can Cornatur be eaten raw or cold?":
"All Cornatur products, whether they are made from soy/wheat protein, Quorn™ or organic vegetables, can of course also be eaten cold. The reference to eating warm is merely an indication of how the product is usually prepared. All Cornatur vegetable/grain products can theoretically also be eaten raw. However, for production and taste reasons, all Cornatur products are only sold cooked. Raw products would "fall apart"."
Hello everyone
Thank you very much for your comments.
We can only agree with Istanbul's contribution. We want to offer the best possible quality, also with regard to the texture and sensory properties of our products, by stating on the packaging "to be eaten heated". Cold consumption can lead to a deviation in taste. However, it is basically up to you to decide how to consume the products.
We can only provide recommendations for preparation and storage in order to achieve the best results.
We wish you lots of enjoyment and a lovely summer's day.

Too bad, too bad! I have now tried this product for the second time. As a lifelong ovo-lacto vegetarian and loyal Migros child, I was also disappointed the second time, and my wife (part-time vegetarian) also shared this criticism, very bland and the consistency similar to the grill plate that has been available for a year... Question: why are the old barbecue ribs with the super marinade and awesome consistency no longer available? Please bring them back onto the market! Otherwise, I'm having to go to the Coop more and more to buy my veggie barbecues, as they're really catching up...
Dear Dodyseus
It's a shame that you don't like the new vegan version of the barbecue ribs.
The reason for the recipe change was the numerous customer requests for other vegan products. We have passed on your suggestion to return to the old recipe to the product development department.
We hope you will still enjoy shopping with us and wish you a sunny rest of the week.
Best regards from the M-Infoline team
I think it's great that Migros is responding to customer wishes and introducing more vegan products. I hope that the natural soy yoghurt will soon be sugar-free too, in line with customer wishes.

It says "new" on the packaging, even though this vegan product has been around for a while? Also, does it somehow not taste as (good) as it used to? Has something been changed in the recipe? Have you noticed anything similar? Best wishes and sunny days from "Twilight"

How long has it been around, Twilight? I saw the product for the first time about 1 month ago. Has there been a change in flavor since then?
They've only been available in "my" store for about a month. :-)
@Duskyblue, Corini and acko: Thanks for your comments! I may be referring to the octo-vegetarian product. The "old barbecue ribs" were available a year ago, they were called the same or similar, looked the same, but tasted better. Well, if they weren't vegan, I'm glad they've now been replaced by new vegan Grill Ribs. Best wishes, have a nice Saturday night and a nice Sunday ;-), "Twilight"
I don't think so, the marinade was also really "red", so that our barbecue is still stained by it today, despite a thorough cleaning. But maybe my gray brain cells are damaged by now?
No. I have now checked with my parents and my cousin, who used to buy the "old barbecue ribs" very often. It was definitely not the linked product? But it doesn't matter. Spring is coming, new vegan products will provide the necessary barbecue mood and our taste buds will get used to the new ribs ;-). Best wishes and enjoy the sun, "Twilight"

yes, they have been around for a long time! as far back as i can remember, i used to eat them when i was a vegetarian, about 10 years ago. it's a shame that they don't taste as good anymore (according to twilight, i still have to make up my own mind). but as a "veggie only" i'm still pleased that they are now vegan:)
Hello Twilight
Thank you for your comment and your interest in our Cornatur products. The original Cornatur Quorn Grill Ribs (mushroom product) were removed from the range in February 2012 and replaced by Cornatur Vegan Grill Ribs.
The Cornatur Grill Ribs have been newly developed and are made from soy and wheat proteins.
We wish you a nice day and send you our best wishes.
