Doesn't the country of origin of "Quorn 95% mushroom product" have to be indicated? Where does this mushroom product come from? How can I imagine this mushroom product? Is it a mixture of naturally growing mushrooms or is it a mushroom produced in a laboratory? Thank you for your answer.

Hello Miggyline, thank you for your inquiry. Quorn is a mushroom protein obtained by fermentation, which is rich in valuable protein and, due to its special cell structure, rich in digestible fiber. Quorn was first discovered in Great Britain, where the fermentation of Quorn mushroom protein still takes place today. You can find more information about this here: https://www.migros.ch/de/content/cornatur-quorn. Best regards, Yann your M-Infoline Team

I just wasn't sure you can't reheat everything 🙈

Are the E-NUMBERS and natural flavors made without animal products and are these ingredients without glutamine, alcohol and flavor enhancers?

Hi Michi2000, the only animal ingredient is chicken protein from eggs from free-range chickens. Our supplier Quorn only uses eggs from free-range hens that come from certified farms in its products. In 2016, Quorn was awarded "The Good Egg Award" for its exclusive use of certified eggs. The natural flavors are naturally derived salts and flavors that do not contain any animal products. They do not contain glutamine/glutamate, alcohol or classic flavor enhancers. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Why is the product labeled as vegetarian if it contains egg white from hen's eggs according to the list of ingredients?

Because it's vegetarian and not vegan

Hello Pallas, the information on the Cornatur Geschnetzelt is correct, the Geschnetzelt is vegetarian and carries the V-label "vegetarian". The V-Label enables consumers to recognize suitable vegan/vegetarian products at a glance. It is awarded in two different categories: "vegetarian", which includes plant-based foods with dairy and/or egg-based ingredients, and "vegan" for purely plant-based products. Question have you changed anything in the recipe? I recently bought the Quorn Geschnetzelte again after a long time and found the taste terrible, the consistency also felt strange. I really liked this product and was really disappointed with the taste and consistency.

Hello Bis07, thank you for your feedback. We're sorry that you didn't like the taste of the product. Do you still have the batch number and best-before date so that we can check this? Best regards, your M-Infoline team

I agree with Bis07, I had the feeling that the last three packs were somehow different and I wanted to ask exactly the same questions now. The taste is different, it's not as chewy as before, it almost squeaks between your teeth. To be honest, I don't like it at all because it was much better before. Please also ask for an answer as to whether anything has been changed.

Hello everyone, thank you for the messages. We are pleased to inform you that no changes have been made to the recipe or the manufacturing process. Nevertheless, natural variations in taste and consistency may occur with this natural product. We have informed the supplier accordingly and will certainly keep an eye on the issue. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

I can no longer find this delicious sliced meat in the Zurich stores. Instead, there is a new fillet product on offer that looks similar but tastes very bad. Is the Quorn Geschnetzelte no longer available?

Is the product gluten-free? I can't find any information on the packaging but according to my research, mushroom product Quorn should be gluten-free if it is processed individually, is this the case?

Good morning Matthiaa If a product contains gluten-containing ingredients, this must be openly declared, stating the gluten-containing cereals (wheat, spelt, rye, barley, etc.). Accordingly: Pay attention to the list of ingredients! Traces due to possible carry-over in the manufacturing process must be indicated at the end of the list of ingredients with a "may contain gluten" or "may contain traces of gluten". Spices are gluten-free by definition. Seasoning mixes may contain gluten, but this would then have to be declared (e.g. seasoning mix [with wheat starch]) Best regards Frederica

Hi Matthiaa, what Federica has written is absolutely correct. Quorn Geschnetzelt does not contain any gluten-containing ingredients, and no carry-over is to be expected. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

can you freeze this? it is so delicious and I would love to stock up on it

Hello Flauffely, of course you can freeze the Cornatur Quorn Geschnetzelte in the pack. Just a note: when freezing, the moisture stored in the product can escape and freeze to the packaging. If you defrost the product in the closed pack before preparing it, the product will completely absorb the moisture that has escaped and remain as moist as when freshly bought. You can freeze all Cornatur Quorn products for 3 months after purchase without hesitation. However, we recommend preparing the whole pack after defrosting and not freezing it again. The packaging says pre-cooked. Does that mean you can eat it cold without cooking it?

Hi Michi2000, most Quorn products, such as the sliced meat, were briefly heated (pasteurized) during the production process in order to achieve an appropriate shelf life. To minimize the risk of germs, we recommend that these products are only consumed fully cooked. There is a note to this effect in two places on the packaging: "To be eaten cooked", "Only consume fully cooked". Best regards, your M-Infoline team
