We draw up life cycle assessments so that we know what impact the materials we use have on the environment. These take into account the effects from the extraction of raw materials to the disposal of the packaging. They show that packaging contributes very little (around 2 to 5 %) to the environmental impact over the product life cycle - the product itself has the greatest impact. An item that has spoiled due to a lack of packaging therefore has a much greater impact on the environment than its protective packaging.

In addition, cardboard packaging may be better for the environment than adhesive labels (mainly because of the adhesive) or printed films. There are a number of relevant factors that are sometimes not immediately apparent.

Nevertheless, we work every day on optimizing our products and therefore also on more sustainable packaging. The packaging has to withstand a lot during the process and for this reason it also has to be stable. However, we do our best to find a balance between the necessary stability and robustness and user-friendliness.

If there is anything left over after eating, you can store it in a closed container in the fridge for 1 - 2 days without hesitation.
