I would like to know whether the soy (soy protein) used to make the cordon bleu has been grown sustainably.

Hello hugorossi, thank you for your post. The manufacturer sources the soybeans used to make Cornatur products from Switzerland. This means that transportation distances can be kept to a minimum and regional production can be promoted at the same time. The soy protein used in Cornatur products is sourced from the EU, as there is currently no Swiss supplier. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Can you actually freeze the Cordon Bleu and Wiener Schnitzel?

Yes - see this thread: https://community.migros.ch/m/Forum-Migipedia/Cornatur-Produkte/m-p/700031/highlight/true#M34824

The products can be frozen in the unopened original packaging or in other suitable packaging (freezer bag, freezer-proof plastic tray), but a reduction in quality must be expected. It is important that the best-before date has not been exceeded at the time of freezing. We recommend defrosting the products in the refrigerator before use (e.g. overnight). Once defrosted, products should be consumed quickly (within one day). Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello, I would like to know if Cornatur products with cheese are made with cheese without animal rennet. As with many cheeses that contain rennet, this is not mentioned in the composition. Thank you in advance. Patricia Manka

Good morning, you have recently changed the graphics on the packaging of this product, despite the number on the bar code remaining the same. Among other things, I noticed that you have also changed the amounts of some ingredients (before soy and wheat proteins were 14%, now they are 24 respectively 22%). I am gluten intolerant, and despite that I could eat the old cornatur cordon bleu without any side effects. The new ones, on the other hand, cause me severe intolerance with associated problems. May I know what exactly you have changed in the recipe for the new product? I wonder why I could eat the old ones but can no longer buy the new ones, despite eating them with pleasure. Thank you very much for your reply, Sincerely

Hello Ciaccia Even in the new packaging, the composition remains the same. However, the way the ingredients are indicated has been adapted to the provisions of the food law. It is a wheat-based product. Therefore, it is not suitable for people who cannot consume gluten. Best regards Your M-Infoline team

Woraus besteht der "Schinken" mittendrin?

Dear Client
Thank you for your comment.

A vegetarian ham substitute is used for the production of Cornatur Cordon Bleu. The ham substitute in this product consists of wheat flour, water, yeast, table salt and spices.
We wish you a nice day and send you our best wishes.

I usually find the vegetarian line very tasty, but these Gordon Bleu are inedible because they are bone dry and tasteless. The cheese (if there is any at all) doesn't melt even after 20 minutes in the pan. The ham is more reminiscent of cardboard than anything edible. And they don't even have that few calories. So you should be able to expect taste. One wonders whether those responsible have ever eaten it themselves? The first time in my life that I threw something away. I couldn't even get it down with ketchup. Sorry.

Hello guest
Thank you for your feedback, which we will pass on to the relevant specialist department.
We need the M-Data and the lot number of your packaging so that we can clarify whether there may have been any deviations during production. Can you provide us with this information?
Kind regards from the M-Infoline team

The cordon bleus are quite dry. The "ham" looks very strange in terms of consistency and color. The cheese looks more like hot glue that has just set than cheese. The whole thing does have a taste, but very much like some kind of artificial seasoning.
I think it's a pretty stupid idea to try to recreate a meat dish without meat.

Hello guest
We are sorry that you had a bad experience with the product. We will be happy to look into it. Can you give us the M-Data and the lot number of your packaging for this purpose?
Many thanks and best regards from the M-Infoline team

It's a shame that the cordon bleu isn't vegan. Couldn't Migros make something breaded for vegans?

Hello Ghandi
If the vegetarian grill platter proves popular with customers, we will look into introducing a vegan platter.
Best regards

I'm a very big Cordon Bleu fan - one of the reasons why I still let myself be tempted to eat meat from time to time... So I think it's great that it's now also available in a vegetarian version. :-)

However, I do have one very important point to criticize: The cheese is what makes a really good cordon bleu! At first I thought this cordon bleu had no cheese in it at all. It was neither noticeable in taste nor visible in any way...
But when I read on the packet that it apparently did contain 11% cheese, I was a little surprised ;-)

I would therefore very much welcome it if this product were optimized with good cheese.

Until then, here's a tip for all Cordon Bleu fans:

Slice the Cordon Bleu slightly and stick a fat piece of Gruyère Surchoix in between. Then put it in the frying pan.

En Guete! :-)

Hello mediaslut

Our supplier will pass on your suggestion to the product development department. They can then test whether a cheese with a better taste can be used.
