Hi JoelT, thanks for the question. In principle, no more capsules will be produced if the concept does not work. However, this is not currently foreseeable and will not be decided in the near future. It says "Consume quickly after opening". What is the shelf life of these capsules once they have been opened? As an infrequent drinker who only makes a coffee at home at the weekend, normal capsules are very practical, as I sometimes have them lying around for weeks. Does this also work with this coffee? It's quite difficult to check whether it's still good. Can it start to go moldy or something?

The coffee capsules are in a casing that consists of wheat gluten. What is the situation for gluten-intolerant people?
Hello ManuelaT, the coating is not based on wheat gluten. Our investigations have revealed the following:
The protective CoffeeB coating is plant-based. The polysaccharides are not obtained from gluten-containing raw materials; one of the core components is alginate. This is obtained from certain types of brown algae. All components are approved for use in food. The Coffee Ball is free from allergens and therefore also gluten-free.
