If a product contains gluten-containing ingredients, this must be openly declared, stating the gluten-containing grains (wheat, spelt, rye, barley, etc.). Accordingly: Observe the list of ingredients! Traces due to possible carry-over in the manufacturing process must be indicated at the end of the list of ingredients with a "may contain gluten" or "may contain traces of gluten". Hello mipel2, yes, CoffeeB products are also suitable for people with coeliac disease. The protective CoffeeB coating is plant-based, the core component of the coating is alginate. The alginates are obtained from brown algae and no raw materials containing gluten are used. Only "roasted coffee" is declared on the packaging, although the coffee is still coated. This is because the casing remains as it is during preparation (similar to a capsule); no components of the casing are transferred to the coffee. The casing only decomposes in the compost.
