What about organic cherimoyas? I'm asking about the peel for eating. Do you assume that the peel hasn't been sprayed with extremely toxic substances? Otherwise it would say not to eat the peel, as with lemons?

Hello Sonarius, thank you for your message. The product is the responsibility of the individual cooperatives. We will be happy to clarify your request with the responsible specialist department if you let us know your purchasing region. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello Sonarius, we would like to point out that the skin of the cherimoya is not generally poisonous. However, we do not recommend eating the skin, as it is not as tasty as the inner part. We hope we have helped you with this answer. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

The peel is basically not poisonous, right, but it depends on the treatment whether and how it is sprayed, this was actually more the question about being able to eat it. Peels basically have more vitamins and minerals so you should eat the peel. If the peel is in good condition, it is also tasty and eat it.

Hi Sonarius, if you would like more specific details regarding eating the peel, you would need to contact Migros Online directly. As they also procure the fruit directly, we do not have any information on this. You can access the contact form here: https://support.shop.migros.ch/hc/de/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360000812280. The new season: could they also be sold to Reif?

"The fruits are ripe when the skin turns slightly black." This is not entirely correct, they should also be soft when pressed lightly. It would be great if you could also give a storage or post-ripening tip for certain products.

Hi Sonarius, this is the Migros fruit expert! I was still picking pineapples in Alaska, hence the delayed reply! I can understand that the delicious cherimoya fruit can be called unripe! At the end of last year we received fruit that was stored differently but this is not a problem as our supplier has improved the process but this can lead to confusion! As the fruit is very delicate when ripe, it is delivered rock hard as it is specially fossilized! Simply store the fruit for 2-3 days at room temperature, possibly in the sun if you want it to be ready to eat! Then it is perfect! Otherwise just store it in the fridge for a long time and move it to the room temperature zone if necessary! We still have to test how long you can store it in the fridge and only then ripen it in the room without it rotting inside, as it is ripe and then fossilized! Maybe put the test fruit in a bowl so that when it rots, the juice does not spread in the fridge or in the fruit basket for room ripening! Greetings
