I've been drinking this coffee for years (or decades) and I think it's good. For a few years now, however, the ground 250g pack has been ground finer, which clogs up my coffee machine (Miostar Classico). No big deal, as there is a grinder in every store. The only problem is that the unground 250g pack has not been sold for some time. So I have to make do with the 500g pack, which then lasts for more than 2 weeks. I would prefer to grind the coffee fresh at shorter intervals, even if this would be a little more expensive.
Kind regards
Roland Steiner (steinerrol@bluemail.ch)

Dear Roland
Thank you very much for your contribution. It's great that you like the coffee so much
The Espresso classico is still available in 250g packaging. If you let us know where you shop, we will be happy to tell you where you can find the coffee.
We look forward to your feedback and see you soon in your Migros.
Best regards from the M-Infoline team

Very tasty!
Does anyone know if it's fair-trade?

Hello Migimaus
The Espresso classico ground has not yet been converted to Fair Trade. But this will soon be the case. The entire basic range will be UTZ-certified by the end of 2010.

It is a pity that instead of the "standard" Fairtrade label of the Fairtrade Labelling Organizations International (FLO), the less well-known and less transparent UTZ label is used

Hello guest

Thank you for your contribution.

UTZ CERTIFIED is one of the world's largest sustainability programs for coffee and covers the three pillars of social, environmental and economic sustainability.

The program promotes professional farming. Productivity and quality of the harvests are increased and production costs are reduced, enabling coffee farmers to enjoy a higher standard of living. They also receive a sustainability premium that rewards them for their efforts in the ecological and social areas. This premium is transparent and can be viewed by all UTZ members. It gives farmers a better negotiating position. UTZ CERTIFIED also has a traceability system that allows consumers to find out who produced the coffee in their packs. It couldn't be more transparent.

Migros has decided to switch its basic range to UTZ CERTIFIED due to the high credibility and availability of coffees, but will continue to offer its customers Max Havelaar coffees.

We wish you a nice rest of the afternoon and say hello.
